Company History

A successful employee buy-out of North Somerset Council’s direct service organisation created Quadron. It has been a successful private company since 1993 and has its head office in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

Quadron’s focus is firmly on its core business activities of property and grounds maintenance but it has introduced new, relevant growth areas in the private and retail sectors.

The resulting broad base of disciplines and geographic spread has led to a substantial increase in turnover with many contract stretching far into the future.

The company now has regional offices in Bristol, Caerphilly, Farnham, Newton Abbot and London. It employs nearly 1000 people and has a 24 hour call centre.

The transition from public to private sector gives the company a unique perspective. There is a good balance between our in-depth local authority knowledge and entrepreneurial and commercial understanding. We know what it’s like from the client’s point of view.

The company had a major restructure in 2002 moving the management from a geographical to a more functionally based arrangement. This provides more specialist knowledge in our four key areas.
