We do this through carefully considered job role design, recruitment and selection strategies and alignment of personal career aspirations with our business plan. This includes apprenticeships and traineeships; regular personal performance review; and supported development plans, including NVQ accreditation of workplace learning where this is appropriate. Whilst Quadron prides itself on the way it manages internal career development, it is acknowledged that we have a social responsibility to address the issues of skills shortages within our industry. We actively participate in a range of working groups whose aim is to raise the level of skill and knowledge across a broad spectrum of career paths. These activities include participation in training and skills development groups funded by the Learning and Skills Council; representation on local college governing bodies and programme development committees; and partnerships with local schools, colleges and job centres to provide work placement schemes for young people and those who have been long term unemployed.
