Compliments received

  • Birmingham City Council

    • Can you please pass a copy of this email on to whoever can thank the lads from Quadron for doing a magnificent job of the main Drive areas and the Civilian Garden grass this week prior to the RHS visit. It all looked spectacular!
Jane and the Committee of Friends of Brand End Cemetery. - July 2016
    • I would like to personally thank all of you for playing your part in getting Ambridge up to standard, the lawn being cut, the bushes tidied up and the benches placed around the scheme, made a massive difference. ... The two young men (John and Ryan) who did the lawn were polite, helpful and hard working, a credit to Quadron.
      Elaine - July 2016
    • I am writing on behalf of the Board of Stockfield Community Association and the Event Group to thank you for your involvement and contribution to the Stockfield Community Fun Day on Saturday 9th July 2016.
The event wouldn't have been possible without the support that Stockfield Community Association received, whether through donated prizes, practical assistance, or stallholders and services attending the event.

Once again, many thanks for your contribution to the community of Stockfield.
      D. Frances, on behalf of Stockfield Commuity Association Board - July 2016
    • Well we did it - the sun came out and the rain stayed away and the 20th CoCoMAD was a roaring success... Quadron were great - spending time the week before finishing jobs and making the place look good and marshalling the road closures for the procession as well as helping with the rubbish collection up until 5pm... Thank you once again for all your contributions to making the 20th CoCoMAD such a success.
Emma Wolf MBE, Chair of Friends of Cotteridge Park - July 2016
    • I would just like to say a big thank you for your help and support in making the idea of the wildflower island a reality.

The three Quadron guys that came to carry out the work were absolutely fantastic and couldn't be any more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them on the day and they went above and beyond what I was expecting. Really enjoyed working alongside them. Thanks you Dave, Billy and Tyrone.
Glenn Powell, Community Worker, University Hospital - May 2016
    • Just to pass on my sincerest thanks for the 'invisible' work that you undertook to smarten up the planted area outside of Balsall Heath Library before their 120 year housing celebrations this weekend.

The staff could not believe that you came and planted in the middle of the night.

      With sincerest thanks again.
Cllr Victoria Quinn, Birmingham City Council - April 2016
    • Can you please pass on my thanks to the team for their support yesterday. They were great and made a real difference.

They were a true reflection of Quadron: professional and always willing to help.
Darren Share, Head of Parks, Birmingham City Council, referring to Clean for the Queen event on 6th March - March 2016
    • I am writing with regards to the excellent service received from Steve [Park Keeper, Oaklands Recreation], especially over the past week.

I'd like to point out that Steve's service is extended to the local community, as he is well respected by the residents for the service he provides, which includes on a number of occasions, approaching and asking youths to leave the park when he sees them acting in an intimidating way.

I just wanted to let you know that the work he does is recognised by the local community and appreciated; for keeping the parks safe and clean during the year, come rain or shine. He always has a smile on his face and is willing to stop for a quick chat with the patrons.
      Jenny - January 2016
    • I just wanted to take the opportunity to send my thanks to your member of staff who I met in Sheldon Park this morning [Martin]. I had spotted him and asked whether he had any paper towels to give me to allow me to dry the slide which my daughter desperately wanted to play on. He assisted me by blowing the water down the slide with a leaf blower, then towel dried it. His willingness to assist was greatly appreciated and my daughter, who is 23 months, said "thank you, man".

Please pass this on to Martin for us both.

Scott and Grace - September 2015
    • On behalf of Councillor Paul Tilsley and myself, I just wanted to thank you and all the staff from Quadron involved in the clear-up at Sheldon Country Park and Lyndon P.F.

You did an excellent job getting the sites cleared after the travellers came and dumped rubbish everywhere causing, as you probably saw on the news last night, public outrage.

I am now in the process of trying to make the site more secure to prevent this happening in future.

Thank you again for dealing with this matter so promptly.

      M. Hinton, Parks Development Manager, Birmingham City Council - August 2015
    • The mowers have been in the Park and it looked very nice, it was a real pleasure to show folks around. It is a lovely park (I still dont tire of it), and several of the visitors commented in similar vein.
      K. Pugh, compliment refers to Selly Oak park - June 2015
    • I would like to congratulate Phil Harwood, the Park Keeper at Selly Oak Park, Gibbins Road, for the excellent way he looks after the park in all weathers. We have been taking our dogs to the park three times a day for many years and we have to say the park looks superb, the best it has looked for many years.
      P. Seabert - May 2015
    • This is just a huge thank you from the BTFL team to all of you who have helped us at our tree planting events this season.  We have come to the end of one of our busiest seasons ever, having planted over 12,500 whips and 150 standards and fruit trees.  We couldnt have done it without you all!
      J. Harding, Project Manager, Birmingham Trees for Life - April 2015
    • I have just returned from the SLA meeting with the housing management group; they have said they are receiving good feedback from residents regarding the standard of work in Yardley and Hodge Hill which is being carried out on the shrub beds, hedge cutting and half mooning.
Bob Hall, Parks Horticultural Performance Officer, Birmingham City Council - March 2015
    • A very BIG THANK YOU to Roger and his fab team for all the hard work and help given for the Yorkswood Clean Up day last Wednesday.  There were lots of leaves and fallen branches to clear up and all the team worked very hard, even Mark who had a sprained ankle.

Once again, thank you very much to you and Roger who always helps Yorkswood Residents Association out when possible.
Lynda, Chair, Yorkswood Residents - February 2015
    • This is just a note to say thank you so much to you and your team for the fantastic job they have done in preparing Henry Barber Rec for the Lord Mayors visit to our tree planting event this morning.  The site looked great and the ground prep was excellent.

Please could you pass on our thanks and appreciation to all the guys that worked on the site this week for their hard work and their very helpful and pleasant approach this morning.  I know how much work must have been involved to get the site looking so good.  Mark was especially helpful.

      Thanks again.
      J. Edwards - December 2014
    • I would like to say a big thank you to members of your staff for helping my staff at Aston Pitches.

Phil, Cliff and Gurbax very kindly helped Hasan at the pitches clearing some leaves.  We are very grateful and would appreciate you passing this on to them.
      J. Cooke, Leisure Operations Manager, Small Heath Leisure Centre - November 2014
    • On behalf of St John's & St Peter's Church, 321 Scouts, Guides, Sport4Life, partnering churches and organisations of the 'Youth Community Heroes' day, we would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation for all your support in directing us to weed and scatter wild flower seed into the flower beds on St Vincent Street West.  Thank you for generously going ahead of us to prepare the flower beds and for supplying us with high vis jackets, trowels, first aid kit and string.

Quadron's donation went towards enabling young people to do social action in their local Ladywood community on Saturday 11th October, in particular litter picking and smartening up the flower beds outside the shops on St Vincent Street West.  The day was a great success, where around 60 young people and volunteers enjoyed making a difference in their community, weeding four flower beds and scattering wild flower seeds in all four of the beds.  Alongside filling many bags of litter, litter picking the local area around St Vincent Street, central Ladywood, the young people also enjoyed lunch and a sport session after all their hard work.

We appreciate your kind and generous gift to us and hope to continue our partnership in the near future, enabling young people to make a difference in their local Ladywood community.
Peter Dalton, Youth & Community Pastor, St John's & St Peter's Church, Ladywood - October 2014
    • Mr Farer is very happy and delighted with the team who were cutting the grass verge today as they went out of their way to collect the refuse that was left behind on this block.  Mr Farer is very impressed and would like them to be praised for their extra efforts.
      Mr Farer - July 2014
    • I just wanted to pass on our thanks to the Quadron team for their wonderful contribution to CoCoMAD on Saturday and in the run up in the weeks and months before.

We are all exhausted but thrilled by how well the day went.  I hope all the Quadron staff involved had an equally positive experience.
      E. Wolf MBE, Chair of Friends of Cotteridge Park - July 2014
    • I would just like to thank you on behalf of Adult Education here at Ward End Park House for the help and assistance that we get from all the members of your team.  In particular I would like to mention Mark, he is always extremely helpful and last Friday he responded very quickly when we asked for help regarding a dog that had been abandoned in the park from early in the morning.  Things could have got a little nasty if he had not been there to help.  We had lots of visitors all around the house, from old pensioners to parties of school children, who were involved in the launch of the new tree trail.  I know that he even stayed on after his finishing time.
      J. Steventon, Centre Co-ordinator, Ward End Park House - July 2014
    • On behalf of St John's & St Peter's Church, Sport4Life, partnering churches and organisations of the 'Youth Community Heroes' day, we would like to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation for all your support in directing us to weed and scatter wild flower seed into the flower beds on St Vincent Street West.  Thank you for generously going ahead of us to prepare the flower beds, for supplying us with gardening equipment and for all your expertise, hard work and work with the young people, we really could not have done it without you.

Quadron's donation went towards enabling young people to do social action in their local Ladywood community on Saturday 3rd May, in particular, litter picking and smartening up the flower beds outside the shops on St Vincent Street West.  The day was a great success, where around 40 young people and volunteers enjoyed making a difference in their community, weeding three flower beds and scattering wild flower seeds in two of the beds,  alongside filling many bags of litter, litter picking the whole area around St Vincent Street, central Ladywood. The young people also enjoyed lunch and a sport session after all their hard work.

We appreciate your kind and generous gift to us and hope to continue our partnership in the near future, enabling young people to make a difference in their local Ladywood community.

      P. Dalton, Youth & Community Pastor, St John's & St Peter's Church, Ladywood - May 2014
    • Thank you so much for the fabulous work done up on the field. ... I have just been up to the field to thank John, Alex and the other members of the team.  Could you reiterate how impressed we all are and how much we appreciate their hard work AND their adaptability! Looking forward to working with you further in the future.

I am hoping that we will have some kind of grand unveiling of the new planters - after we have some planting completed - for our parents, which we will invite your team from Quadron to.  It would be great for them to meet our children and parents.
      K. Khan, Parkhill School - April 2014
    • I thought I must commend the flower arrangements at this time of year.  At all the varying sites Colebank Road, Wake Green Road, Sarehole Road, Robin Hood Lane, Highfield Road and Robin Hood Island they all look really superb.

Well done to the people who did the work.  It really is appreciated.

      Mr S. Gove-Humphries - April 2014
    • I would just like to thank Tony and Roger for all the help and support they have given last year with regards to Yorkswood Estate.  They have continued to support our community events and gone the extra mile to improve our area.

I would also like to give a special mention to Mark who led the team on the ground who worked very hard to enhance the area, which has not gone unnoticed by the local residents.
      L. Bradbury, Chair of Yorkswood Residents - February 2014
    • Good Morning Nicola

Many thanks once again for giving up your Sunday to help and support us at the park.

It may have been a damp afternoon, but the spirit in the room and around the flagpole was anything but that; I sensed a mood of pleasure and satisfaction. I certainly had a lump in my throat as the flag was raised, and could see a smile of satisfaction on the faces from the past.

It was nice to see a larger group of people for the AGM too. Perhaps we are slowly permeating the district, conveying the value of the park, and stirring local conscience and enthusiasm. Perseverance; perhaps enthusiasm is infectious after.

      With love and thanks

Ken Pugh - Friends of Selly Oak Park - September 2013
    • I'm sure Darren will be in touch at some point to thank you for your help in preparing for last weekend's event. However, I just wanted to thank you, especially Andy and his team, for the work carried out and the assistance they gave me in checking over the route.

Although I was not with the judges during the tour I was out front checking all was OK and I did get chance to speak to them later that day. The route was the best I've ever seen it , I don't think we could have done any better. The judges I spoke with seemed impressed.

Please pass on my thanks to your teams, let's hope the news in September will reflect the hard work by all.
      T. Oakes, Birmingham City Council, referring to the Entente Florale judging - July 2013
    • I would like to thank Quadron Services for paying the Green Flag entry fee for Selly Oak Park.  I would also like to thank the team that manages the park and who helped to prepare it so excellently for our recent inspection visit.

I would particularly like to thank the following individuals for their efforts: Paul Spinks, Derek Foley, Phil Harwood, Stevie Johnston, Steve Whitehouse, Paul Cornwell and Nicola Clarke.  Derek, our park keeper, deserves a special mention as he does such a great job of keeping the park looking neat and tidy all year round.  He also deserves thanks for the support he gives to the annual Selly Oak Festival which takes place in the park each June.  Nicola also deserves a special mention for the support she gives the Friends committee in planning and running events, conservation activities and planting sessions.
Dr. A. Schofield, Chairman, Friends of Selly Oak Park - July 2013
    • Just to convey from the Friends a big thank you to yourself and Tony for your support on the day [Big Arts Picnic 02.06.13], not forgetting Barry, our Park Keeper, who so quickly arranged clearing the black bags of rubbish and helping with the dismantling of equipment after the event.
Mike Wheale, Chairperson, Friends of Ward End Park - July 2013
    • I would just like to give feedback regarding the Park Ranger who covers the Oaklands Recreation Park in Yardley.  He is doing a really magnificent job in turning this recreation park round into a family park, where families are happy to come and spend their leisure time both in the evenings and at weekends.  I have never seen it as full as I have done this last few months. This is because it is kept beautifully clean and safe, no spent needles or alcohol bottles left lying about.  No large groups of youths hanging about.  This is all down to the hard work that the Park Ranger has done over the last two years.

I have used this park on a regular basis now for over 20 years walking my dog and I have seen a vast improvement in the care of it since we have had our Park Ranger.  He even managed to stop the footballers parking their cars in the park.

Without our Ranger I dread to think what the park would be like.  I walk across quite a few of the parks in the area and I can honestly say that the Oaklands is the cleanest, safest and most inviting out of all of them so well done to our Park Ranger!
      J. Palmer, referring to Quadron Park Keeper, Steve Hampshire - June 2013
    • I live close to Edgbaston reservoir and visit the site on a daily basis.  I would therefore like to compliment Quadron for their work in maintaining Edgbaston reservoir to a high standard.

In particular I would like you to pass on my appreciation to the workers from Quadron who undertake this work on a daily basis.  These workers are highly committed to the work they undertake. They are always friendly and approachable and willing to help in whatever way they can.  The service they provide in ensuring the site is clean, tidy and well maintained is second to none.  I would be grateful if you would pass my comments on to the workers concerned.

Many thanks to Quadron and your excellent staff at Edgbaston reservoir.

      Mr M. Tatton - June 2013
    • Just had the email from Nicola about the support the CoCoMAD from Quadron and I wanted to say "thank you" for all the nice things that Quadron does.

Emma, Friends of Cotteridge Park - April 2013
    • Just wanted to drop you a note to pass on the District Office's thanks to Mark for assisting with the gritting at Ward End Park this week.  He has done a fantastic job.  Mark is always helpful and is a visible presence in the park.

Rachel Fulwell, Performance Manager, Hodge Hill District Office - January 2013
    • Quadron Services always go out of their way to assist and help Yorkswood Residents' Association.  We had the tractor for the children to climb on for our Community Day in September.  The Quadron Team were on hand to help us plant over 2000 bulbs for our bulb planting day two weeks ago. The Quadron personnel that I actually liaise with are always very helpful and pleasant.
      L. Bradbury - November 2012
    • This is to write to thank you for your continued support of the Friends of Walkers Heath Park, specifically your recent donation - a seating bench.

The Friends of Walkers Heath Park is nearly one year old. When we began, the park had no bins and only two benches, both located in one corner of the park. The bins were the first thing that BCC supplied and Quadron fitted them for free. We used our Brandwood Community Chest grant to purchase a bench and you matched this by donating one. You have also attended a litter pick with us. Without the support that you have given us, we could not have achieved as much so thank you again.

This year, the Friends of Walkers Heath Park believes approx 70,000 has been input into the park through donations, allocations (Local Council and Central Government), grants and associated projects and fundraising activity. 40 courses have been undertaken by our group which now has 10 committee members plus associates. We will have worked in partnership with 4 third sector organisations, 2 corporate (including you), two wards, two councils and three police forces!

We are producing an Annual Report very soon and we will be thanking Quadron on our list of supporters. We will forward one of these in due course.

We look forward to working with you in year 2 and seeing what we can achieve together!

      L. Youngson on behalf of the Friends of Walkers Heath Park - November 2012
    • Just a quick note to thank you for all your and your teams support in this years entry in to Britain in Bloom.  It was a true partnership and has helped raise the profile of Birmingham... I see Quadron as a key member of the team.
Darren Share, Head of Parks, Birmingham City Council - October 2012
    • I need to let you know that Park Keeper Martin Turner is worth his weight in gold.  Martin cares about the site and the park; each job he tackles is done with care and pride. If Martin finds a problem, hes very quick to take advice and solve it.

The site [Shard End No. 6] is now in the best condition for a long time.

      S & J Ford - August 2012
    • My goodness, what a pair of hard workers you sent us again.

The two young men have illustrated by example what an excellent workforce you must have.

In one hard day's work they have beautified Brockley Place.  It makes such a difference and it is appreciated by all the residents.  Please thank them for us.

The two young men worked tirelessly and produced a superb job.  It can't get better than this.
      Mr Mills - August 2012
    • Just a quick e mail to say a really big thank you for being part of Team KH yesterday and demonstrating to the Britain in Bloom judges what a wonderful vibrant community King's Heath is.

We will not know the result until the Britain in Bloom Awards Ceremony in Guernsey on Oct. 6/7. But much more important than the result is that we clearly impressed the judges with how much we've achieved in King's Heath.

Everything seemed to work like clockwork yesterday (and the sun even shone!) so thanks again for the part you played and please pass on this thank you to any others who helped yesterday.
Bob Prew, Chair, King‚??s Heath Centre Partnership - August 2012
    • Quadron is a Service Company that is really tuned in to helping the communities where they operate.

    • Just finished the first part of the [Heartlands in Bloom] route with the judges and Hall Green looked super.

Many thanks to you and your team for the hard work during such a difficult spell. Please can you pass my thanks on in particular to Tyrone who we know put so much time and effort ensuring the detail was picked up.
      S. Cooper, Constituency Parks Manager, Birmingham City Council - July 2012
    • This [the Award of a Green Flag to Cotteridge Park] is wonderful news, thanks to Simon, Richard Turner, Quadron and all of the Birmingham City Parks Service for the many years of continuing support to the Friends of Cotteridge Park.

We look forward to continuing this great partnership.
      E. Woolf, Chair, Friends of Cotteridge Park - July 2012
    • I am truly pleased to confirm that Cotteridge Park has been rewarded with a Green Flag Award for 2012/13.

This is a wonderful tribute to the Friends of Cotteridge Park,  its community as well as for Quadron Services and all of them should be applauded for the years of hard work that reflects the very ethos of partnership working.

I hope that we can continue this fantastic work for many years more.

Many thanks to everyone for their hard work and support
      S. Cooper, Constituency Parks Manager, Birmingham City Council - July 2012
    • Could you please pass on our thanks to the splendid Quadron team who helped make Saturdays CoCoMAD a triumph, even in the rain and the mud.
The preparation of the site in the week before, the help on the day with the procession and keeping the site tidy, and the quick collection of the rubbish today so we look lovely and tidy for our VIPs from Natural England tomorrow, demonstrate what a great team you have and their commitment to supporting community involvement in Birminghams parks.
Thank you to you and all your team, but as before particular thanks to Harry.
Chair, Friends of Cotteridge Park - July 2012
    • Can I take the opportunity to reiterate our gratitude for helping organise yesterdays litter pick/tree lopping event in the grounds of Aston Hall.  Everybody who took part really enjoyed the afternoon and I have had many positive comments about how well the grounds are kept and how well it is managed.

Again on behalf of IMI Components, thank you very much.

Best wishes and thanks from all of us at BOSF for the financial and moral support.
      E. Woolf, Vice Chair, BOSF - June 2012

    • We have had a great day today [Green Flag Judging Day] and much of the success is due to the support we continue to receive from you all.

Whatever the result from Green Flag we know that what had to show today was a fantastic park produced by the hard work of a very dedicated partnership.

Congratulations to everyone for their hard work

      E. Wolf, Chair, Friends of Cotteridge Park - May 2012
    • I would really like to thank you and your team for all of the hard work that you have put into making sure that Cotteridge Park was just right for today's Green Flag Judging because the whole park looked an absolute picture.
      S. Cooper, Constituency Parks Manager - May 2012
    • I always take my son to the Park at Swanshurst Park to ride roundon his bike.  The park is always kept clean and well kept.

When I go for a walk you will see the Park Rangers keeping the park clean.  Please keep up the good work.  These parks are important to us for our children and for our health and wellbeing.  I thought I'd put pen to paper to le you know.
      Mrs Dooley - April 2012
    • The island in the middle of Robin Hood Lane and Highfield road has been maintained and re-done by the Council, and the planting done there looks beautiful.
      P Prew - March 2012
    • Thank you for your support today [13/02/2012] at Walkers Heath Park. We had 16 people come to the litter pick and we were very pleased with how it went. As you know, it was the first one we have done and we tidied up the park, had fun, met new people and had some snacks! Vanessa and Harry [Quadron staff] were brilliant and it was great to meet them. Even Simon Cooper turned up to show his support. We were also helped by Birmingham City Council (Brandwood 'Hit Squad') and it was a great opportunity to show Richard Green around the site and get some input, advice and expertise for the Community Games event we have planned for May. Catch22 from Kings Norton and Maggie Sweet from 'The Fields Millenium Green' were there representing Kings Norton as well as some of the Friends of Walkers Heath.

We have been really surprised by the support and encouragement of all agencies today. Again, we thank you for sending Vanessa and Harry and for helping to make today a success. People really enjoyed themselves and everyone got to know the park and each other a bit better.

Quadron's Vanessa and Harry, ready for action.

      L. Youngson, Secretary - Friends of Walkers Heath Park - February 2012
    • I am just writing to express how pleased I was with the service the school received this week from the grounds maintenance team, namely Harry Poole and Vanessa Mavers.  I can honestly say the winter shrub and border clearance is the best we have had in a very long time.  They worked very hard with such a positive attitude.

Please pass on our praise to them.

Business Manager, Conway Primary School - December 2011
    • Thank you to the Quadron team for helping our conservation work on Billesley Common by cutting and removing a huge area of long grass.

This will help to increase biodiversity by allowing a wider range of plants to grow which in turn will encourage more insects and birds to visit the common.

We appreciate Quadrons support for the Valley Riverside project.
Treasurer, The Valley Riverside Project - November 2011
    • The residents at Stafford House wished to thank the crew who cut back the brambles from behind flats 3 and 4.
Residents asked them if they were able to cut back the brambles; the crew said they would come back and do it the following day and did exactly what they said.
Housing Officer, Hodge Hill Estate Services - November 2011
    • I just wanted to say thank you to yourself and your teams for all your hard workin getting the area ready [for North Summerfield in Bloom].  It looked great.

Please would you thank all of the team - you were all brilliant.
Secretary, North Summerfield Residents Association - August 2011
    • I just wanted to thank you all for organising the clean up and marking of the Ackers site for the event on the 30th June. The Quadron staff did a really good job and the site looked great. The staff who were on site [Steve Timothy and Dominic Merchant-Baptiste] on the Tuesday and Wednesday could not have been more helpful.

The Lord Mayor, Denise Lewis, the guests and the PR company recording the event as well as the children and teachers were very impressed by how the site looked on the day. Please pass on my thanks to the Quadron staff.
      S. Prior - July 2011
    • Just a brief email to thank you and the all the Quadron staff who helped make this year's CoCoMAD so successful.
From the kind financial help to stepping in to save the procession (by helping with the road closures) - it really couldn't have happened without you.
A very special "thank you" should go to Harry.  All the staff who were here on the day worked so hard, but Harry, seeing that the good weather was keeping the audience here longer than expected stayed for an 2 additional hours helping with the clean up.  He was  also invaluable sorting the road closures.

      Thank you again.
Chair, Friends of Cotteridge Park - July 2011
    • Please pass on my thanks to "Flytipping Squad" for dealing so quickly with the complaint about flytipping at Wake Green Playing Field. Really impressed with speed of response and thoroughness of rubbish removal. Also telephone update from organiser which I appreciated.

A job really well done - I was very impressed.
      Local Resident - June 2011
    • I am writing to thank all responsible for the Way Calthorpe Park is being kept so beautifully these days.  Also for the very sensible sports court that has been created.

Thank you very much for all the effort and finance that has gone into this park.
Mrs. Betts, Local Resident - May 2011
    • On behalf of the staff and pupils at Aston Manor School, I should like to take this opportunity to thank you for generously supporting the work of Aston Manor School's Community Garden.

Over the last few months you have supplied us with 4 tons of top soil and a generous supply of tree bark.  Pupils and staff have used this to grow vegetables and to educate pupils about the importance of creating a sustainable future alongside learning basic gardening skills.  One of the highlights last year involved pupils making up hanging baskets for members of the immediate community.  Earlier this year, our Year 7 pupils enjoyed taking part in the 'Sunflower' project which involved planting seeds, and measuring their growth.

The newly opened garden is an important feature of the school which we are hoping will be a source of inspiration for different members of the community including parents and friends of our pupils.

It is only through the generosity of yourself and other organisations that we have been able to continue with our project and immensely appreciate your support.
Julie Anderson, Assistant Headteacher, Aston Manor School - March 2011
    • I wanted to place on record my very sincere thanks for the part that you played in helping to clear the backlog of waste around the City during last weekend. It was a Herculean effort by everyone involved and we managed to clear 282,000 black bags, which is truly a fantastic achievemnt and would not have been possible without your support and dedication.

Once again I cannot thank you enough for your outstanding commitment.
Sharon Lea, Birmingham City Council Strategic Director of Environment & Culture - February 2011
    • I just wanted to pass on my thanks to all the staff that worked with Chloe and I from Armoury Road to clear the streets of rubbish left during the recent snow.

The achievement was massive, over the 4 days we were in operation we collected just under 500 tonnes which equates to over 58,000 bin bags. Together with the casual workforce over 280,000 bags were brought in making a real difference to the residents of Birmingham.

One of the pleasing comments I kept receiving from colleagues who did not work in Parks, was the way they were treated by your staff. They had nothing but praise for everyone who they worked with and there was a true team spirit. I also thought how professional and committed everyone was and it was a real pleasure to work with them all.

Thank you again for all of your commitment to a key strategic problem faced by the council.
From Darren Share, Birmingham City Council Head of Parks - February 2011
    • We have successfully planted up the shrub beds with the Friends of Ward End Park today....I would like to thank ....Nicola Clarke and the team from Quadron who were all a great help.
And from some of the Friends: Dear Nicola, Really delighted with the way you have put together our shrub planting event. The contents and format just perfect, you captured a most memorable day from beginning to end down to the finest detail. We as friends of Ward End Park can't thank you and Quadron enough for all your support in everything we do. Kind regards. Don and Bridie. Please see Ward End Shrub Bed Planting download on the right for further details.

    • I would like to thank Quadron and their operatives for the work they did in Bournville Ward, Birmingham in planting three trees for us including the new Christmas tree outside the Selly Oak Constituency Office. Dave Connolly and his team were very helpful, professional and courteous.
The job proved to be a little larger that anticipated as when they started, they found the previous contractor had not removed the roots of the vandalised tree that had been taken out earlier in the year.
This meant that the job took a lot longer and involved a lot of extra digging but not one complaint was forthcoming. They were there the following day to take delivery of the new trees and plant them. They did a fabulous job and left the frontage in a better state than they had found it.

The tree was decorated with lights a few days later and became a focal point for the Stirchley Christmas Light switch on in December.

Once again a huge thank you to everyone involved.

    • The committee and I feel that there should be some form of recognition  to the contractors that look after the Valley Parkway. Hedges were cut, grass was mown, and the whole area was seen to be clean, and no litter in sight. The cream on the cake was the Friday morning before the event 4 chaps cleaning up the goose droppings off the pathways and the area in front of the boathouse.WELL DONE QUADRON SERVICES! AND A BIG THANK-YOU.
From Bournville Model Yacht & Powerboat Club: - September 2010
    • I have carried out some in depth site visits around Selly Oak this afternoon and I do think it is only fair that I share with you my unsolicited observations of the day.

Selly Oak Park. This is a tribute to the Park Keeper Derrick. The park was immaculate with not so much as a sweet wrapper on the ground. Rose and flower beds were clean. But what I always feel is a good indictor of how a site is maintained is when you go into the yard itself. He has made a wonderful job of making the yard look much tidier than the tip it was before he arrived. I know that the Friends of Selly Oak Park have also witnessed the transformation and are very pleased with his input.

Jamin Fields: Clean and tidy reflecting that although this is a conservation area it is a well maintained area.

Brandwood Cemetery: Excellent condition -; all of the lawn, semi and trad areas were so tidy. The areas around everyone of the grave stones were so clean you would swear that they had been  hand weeded without a weed in site.

Billesley Common Changing Rooms. A very unpleasant building in a poor state of repair but once again I walked around unannounced and was so pleased to see that each and every one of the changing rooms, showers and  toilets had been cleaned out thoroughly by the incumbent park keeper.

I drove down Broad Lane and with two guys strimming there was the chargehand himself litter picking leaving the road tidy once again

As you know Martyn I was heavily involved with the retendering for the Birmingham Contracts and I honestly believe that Quadron could hold the Selly Oak Contract up as a great example for  any prospective visitors who want to see how you operate a contract of this size.
A very satisfying day thank you
From Simon Cooper, Constituency Parks Manager, Birmingham, letter to Martyn Bradley, Quadron's Operations Director: - August 2010
    • full marks to Quadron for their speedy and proactive approach to maintenance issues.
From Neville Summerfield, Councillor in Kings Heath, Birmingham (extract from letter in newspaper): - August 2010
    • "Thanks Nicola. Don`t know what we would do without you. What a fantastic culture of approach Quadron has brought to Grounds Maintenance in Birmingham. A term of description I hate, (grounds maintenance of Parks), however Quadron are way above that description. Long Live Quadron's approach to Horticulture in Local Authority Provision. Trust I will see you at the next Friends meeting for Ward End Park next Wednesday. Mike."
From Retired Parks Manager, Birmingham, to Quadrons Horticultural Development Manager in Birmingham: - June 2010
    • Can you please pass on our thanks to the two gentleman [Adam Parkes & Steve Hampshire] from Quadron who helped us clean up the site on Saturday 3rd July. They were excellent. Unfortunately the Environmental Services forgot to deliver the Continental Containers on site and this resulted in far more rubbish being left on the site. The two chaps loaded as much as they could into their van and took it away. We are not only impressed with their willingness to help with the problem but they were also extremely concerned in leaving the park in such a state. Clearly they take a pride in the job they do and are keen to protect the park spaces in which they work. Please pass on our sincere thanks to them both.
From Client in Birmingham/Acocks Green Carnival committee: - June 2010
    • Dear Clive, Nicola and Martyn, can you please pass our thanks on to all the Quadron staff who gave up their time on Saturday to come to the BOSF conference. Their contribution is much appreciated. Thanks to you for your presentation.

    • On Monday morning 1st February 2010 two young men arrived at Brockley Place in a Quadron truck and cut back all the overgrown hedges and bushes in the planting boxes and against the boundary. They worked conscientiously until the whole of Brockley Place was completed and all the cuttings and waste were swept up and cleared away. When they had finished it was the best that Brockley Place had looked for 20 years and the first time the job had been done properly. The two young men are to be congratulated for their hard work and commitment. Can you thank them for me for a job well done. Their efforts are appreciated.
Customer in Nechells, Birmingham: - February 2010
    • Its normal for me to contact you about this complaint or that, but on this occasion I want you, your team and that of Quadron to accept my deepest thanks for the work that they have done around the P.O.S. adjacent to Dell Meadow Centre on Bells Lane. The pathways which have been cleared of detritus and overgrown grass are a sight to behold. Will you please pass on my thanks to everyone.
From Councillor Mike Leddy to Client Officer in Selly Oak: - November 2009
    • I just wanted to drop you a note to congratulate you on the new standards of cleanliness of the pathways surrounding the boating pool at the Valley Parkway. I visited there recently and was very pleased to see that the pathways were much cleaner and that though the geese faeces is still present it seems that the cleaning plan you have insituted has had the effect of making the pathways walkable.

    • I am writing to thank you...for your involvement in the Birmingham City Centre Floral Trail, of which the Jewellery Quarter has formed a significant part. We are pleased to announce that, not only did the Floral Trail achieve a Gold Award in the Urban Community category at the Regional In Bloom Awards ceremony, but it has also won a Gold Award at the National Britain in Bloom finals. The Judges were so impressed with the entry that we were also granted the official title as the overall category winner!

    • "I just wanted to take the time to send my compliments regarding the grounds maintenance standard of upkeep in Key Hill Cemetery. The Key Hill Open Day took place over the weekend and I was delighted to find that the cemetery was looking the best that I've ever seen it. This is partly attributed to the effort that the Friends of Key Hill cemetery have made, but also should be accredited to Quadron, and the operatives working on the grounds maintenance contract. It is also apparent that one operative in particular who works in the cemetery is very conscientious about his work and I believe has also joined the Friends of Key Hill & Warstone Lane Cemeteries himself. I would be grateful if you could pass my appreciation on to him too please?
Bereavement Services, Birmingham City Council: - August 2009
    • Dear Dennis...the village and surroundings did look really good on Tuesday....Please do thank your guys who did a smashing job on all our green spaces..., it really did add to the whole picture particularly on the village green and at the gateway points to Moseley. I am keen to meet up with your newly appointed Horticultural Development Manager to talk through what we currently have done for and with the community and what we aspire to do going forward.
From Moseley in Bloom committee to Operations Manager, Birmingham contracts: - June 2009
    • Gentlemen, I would just like to pass on my personal thanks for the efforts you and your staff put into making Aston Hall and Park look at its best for the official opening last night. The event was attended by the Lord Mayor, Cabinet Member, Strategic Directors, several Assistant Directors, TV personalities, representatives of the funding agencies, Aston Pride and members of the community. Everyone commented, despite the appalling weather, how good the park and gardens around the Hall looked, and many ventured out despite the pouring rain to look round. The whole park looked superb, and was a credit to you and the staff involved.

    • I would like if I may to congratulate those responsible for the flower beds and the upkeep of Small Heath Park. They have done a first rate job
Customer In Birmingham to Councillor: - June 2009
    • It was good to meet with you both this afternoon, thank you for taking the time to visit the Westley Vale Millennium Green and for the very positive feedback and suggestions offered. I must admit the Green looked very tidy and the Trustees are very pleased with the work carried out by your ground maintenance team. The grass on the main Green had been well cut and strimmed round the posts and benches, and this time the grass cuttings did not pose as great a problem as on earlier occasions.
Secretary of Westley Vale Millennium Green Trustees to Dennis Wood (Quadron Operations Manager, Birmingham) & Phil Garrett (Quadron Contract Manager): - May 2009
    • "I've taken a look at your newsletter & find that you are working at better visual & vocal contact with usergroups & public this I feel is a great step forward (especially trying to keep same teams / same areas ). Also the projected youth/apprentice scheme I feel is a really good idea as Horticultural training was suffering everywhere in Britain. Well done & good luck in the future."
Client Officer in Birmingham: - May 2009
    • "Many thanks for the newsletter which looks great and is a very welcome initiative of yours. Also to let you know that I had a very positive response from John Timothy [Contract Manager] to weed the lavender and hebe 'traffic island' on Reddings Road in advance of Moseley in Bloom's Open Garden Weekend (20/21st) when hundreds of people will be wandering along the roads around us. It is great that it will be looking its best for the event. Many thanks to you and the team for your cooperation on this."
Birmingham Resident & Friends of Group representative: - May 2009
    • "I thought it would be helpful if I fed back from last week's meeting in which the Registrars were extremely complimentary over Ouadron's performance in what are historically very difficult cemeteries to maintain due to their age and layout. I have also visited all 4 sites in the past 3 weeks and I concur with their view."
Client officer in Birmingham: - April 2009
  • Charnwood Borough Council

    • I recently walked around Queen's Park and I was so impressed I thought I would email to congratulate all involved.

I particularly like the planting in the bedding circles around the Band Stand, the choice of plants works really well. The cleome, verbena bonariensis and grasses look lovely and are growing really well. The red bedding with the trailing golden lysimachia looks good on the band stand.

I like the way the perennials are mixed with the bedding plants in the beds near the John Storer House entrance. The well-chosen selection of newly planted perennials near the stream looked good also and the living wall looks very striking from across the park.

It's so lovely seeing [Queen's Park] being so well looked after, it's a real credit to the town.
      J. Hollingworth - August 2016
    • I am writing to you on behalf of the Magna Music Band thanking you for all you did in allowing us to perform our concert in Queen's Park, Loughborough. ...The park staff were very helpful, providing us with chairs to use, and allowing us to park nearby to unload/load a lot easier.

      J. Griffin, Band Master, Magna Music Band - July 2016
    • Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved in ensuring that Loughborough and the Outwoods looked so fabulous for the [In Bloom] judges to see yesterday. I don't think I have ever seen everywhere look so good. I know it has been extremely hard work, especially for those at Quadron trying to cope through the rain, wind and not much sun. However, the sun gods shined on us yesterday and it was all worthwhile.

      Again, many thanks to everyone.
Cllr. Hilary Fryer, Charnwood Borough Council - July 2016
    • I thought I really should congratulate you all on the planting - beds, pots, etc. It is all fantastic and developing really well. The hanging baskets on Epinal Way and elsewhere are really blossoming out, the basket trees are stunning - as are all the other beds I have seen.

I was in Queen's Parks on Saturday and I had chance to enjoy the beautiful planting everywhere, despite the rain.
      M. Smith - June 2016
    • Thank you and all your teams for the very successful unveiling of the commemorative bench this afternoon. I know it was a lot of hard work, but well worth it, and the park looks lovely.
Cllr Hilary Fryer, Charnwood Borough Council - June 2016
    • A really great event. Thank you and your teams very much indeed.

We could not have wished for better weather and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
Cllr Hilary Fryer, Charnwood Borough Council, regarding the lighting of a beacon in Queen's Park, Loughborough in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's 90th Birthday - April 2016
    • I just wanted to let you know that last week's Clean for the Queen event went really well across Charnwood; from Quorn's whole village approach to Queen's Park and parts of Loughborough on Saturday and the villages of Anstey and Wanlip.

The Quadron guys in Quorn and Queen's Park have been a real support with planning, volunteering at both events and loaning equipment to be used by the volunteers.

I would really like to say a special thank you to the team based at Queen's Park Nicola Clarke and Tony Jones.  They were such a great support, thinking ahead when it came to planning for the arrival of 250 12 year olds!! They both attended the planning meetings, sorted equipment, planned locations for litter picking and they ensured the children's safety on the day.

I am really grateful for their help and the rangers who were polite, helpful and a very co-operative with all of the volunteers.
      J. Byrne, Contracts Officer, Charnwood Borough Council - March 2016
    • Just a note to thank you and all your teams for the hard work undertaken over the weekend for 'Clean for the Queen'. It seems to have been a great success...Please pass on my thanks to everyone who got involved.

Will you please pass on my thanks, and that of Loughborough in Bloom, to Martin Botham, lorry driver for the delivery, and Bernie Armstrong, who drove the JCB. They were really great and a credit to Quadron.

    • I would like to say a big thank you to you and your team who did a great job in getting the Thorpe Acre Trail Sign framed and installing it on the edge of Thorpe Acre Green. You said you would try and have it up for East Midlands in Bloom you did and I think the Judge liked it, so thank you.

      J. Bush, Chair of Thorpe Acre Residents Association - August 2015
    • Queens Park in Loughborough is looking fantastic! I walked through yesterday and felt moved to compliment the staff responsible, such is the interesting planting, sculpture, clean ponds and lovely fountains. Massive thanks to all concerned.
      K. Winspear - August 2015
    • We and our neighbours are most grateful for excellent services rendered.
      J. Creegan - June 2015
    • Would you give your team many thanks for all your hard work here at Stavely, it looks great and it shows with the beautifully cut grass and the litter pickers doing a great job! Well done.

      T. Edwards - May 2015
    • We loved the day [Corporate volunteering day at Queens Park & Morley Quarry], I've had nothing but good feedback from everyone (I think the fact that the sun was shining helped a lot!) even the weeders!

We will certainly be looking at other opportunities to work with you again on future away days when time allows.
      R. Wearing, Asda George - April 2015
    • Just to let you know Marie and I think the Loughborough Cemetery looks amazing.  We take our dogs there 2 or 3 times a week and they seem to enjoy it as much as we do.  Your grounds team work very hard and wed like you to pass on our appreciation to them.

      The Cregeens - April 2015
    • Queen's Park flowers are super - a number of people have remarked upon them to me.
Cllr. Hilary Fryer - April 2015
    • As a kind of layman journeying into and leaving Loughborough every day, Ive got to say the flowers around Forest Road, Epinal Way, Ashby Road roundabout, Uni Island, Asby Road etc look fantastic. Brilliant co-ordination and colours. They lift me up on the way in from Forest Road and the way home via Ashby Road. Best Ive seen in spring time to my memory.

      A. Rush - April 2015
    • I would just like to thank all those involved in the interments at Loughborough Cemetery last week.

It was a difficult week with a vault interment and a challenging kerbset grave to dig out, followed by a large number of people attending.  Ian, Dave, Paul and Skippy worked great as a team to help everything go smoothly; as we always say, we only get one chance to get it right and we did on all four burials.
      S. Beirne, Charnwood Borough Council - October 2014
    • Just a note to say how fantastic the park looked on Saturday for the WW1 event.  Everyone had obviously worked extremely hard to ensure that Queen's Park looked immaculate. It was a fantastic event and everyone I spoke to remarked on how lovely everything was looking.  To have got the tree removed as well so quickly made even more space for the event to take place.

The weather was kind at least until 6pm and the park was full of people. A lot of comments were made about the wildflower areas, as well as everything else.

I am very proud to be part of the team please pass on my personal thanks to everyone involved.
Cllr. Hilary Fryer, Charnwood Borough Council - August 2014
    • I would like to see the same team of lads, who recently cut the grass on Burns Road, to do the cutting every time. I cant praise them enough, they did a fantastic job.
      D. Lawson - July 2014
    • To manage continuous improvement is hard; its been made harder this summer with the road works and managing change and learning for everyone.

Thank you for all your patience and commitment.  I talked to so many people yesterday who thoroughly enjoyed the preparation, whatever the outcome, for this sense of unity of purpose it is worth it.

      Thank you.
Chris Traill, Strategic Director for Neighbourhoods & Community, Charnwood Borough Council, referring to Loughborough in Bloom judging - July 2014
    • Just to say what I have managed to see over the past week or so - Queen's Park, Epinal Way, The University, Warwick Road, the Cemetery, the town centre how fantastic everything is looking.  The judges seemed very impressed when I saw them at lunchtime.

Please pass on my personal thanks to all the staff at CBC, Quadron and Serco for all the hard work and effort that has been put in to make Loughborough even better than ever.  These things don't 'just happen' but take organisation and good will from everyone.

I am extremely proud to be the Cabinet Member for Cleansing and Open Spaces.
Cllr Hilary Fryer, Cabinet Member for Cleansing & Open Spaces, Charnwood Borough Council, referring to Loughborough in Bloom judging - July 2014
    • Everybody at the Friends' meeting last night missed you both, and so we decided to send words of appreciation for all you and your teams achieved in and for the park before the unveiling of the new sculptures.  We know that you met difficulties, not least the weather, but the outcome was a triumph, a real credit to your skills and hard work.  We know, too, that as the plants mature it will look even more amazing.  I personally am thrilled with the photographs I was able to take, which I am looking forward to showing you.

Many thanks again from us all.
      D. Brass, Chair of the Friends of Queen's Park - June 2014
    • Thank you for taking the time to discuss the issues with Charnwood Waters and for actually visiting the area to explain things to me.  I found the meeting very informative and was pleasantly surprised to see the grass and verges cut so promptly and neatly on the following day.  The difference from the first two cuts is amazing!
      P. Sheldon - June 2014
  • Cherwell District Council

    • Driving through Banbury I was absolutely stunned with your flower displays. Having a few baskets of my own I realise the work that goes into keeping on top of a display of that magnitude. Not a dead head in sight! It really made my journey worthwhile.
      M. Parsons - August 2016
    • I just wanted to pass on my appreciation for the roundabout, container and hanging basket displays in Banbury. This year they are really magnificent. I particularly like the Banbury Cross roundabout display. The horses with their blue manes and crowns make me smile every day as I drive to and from work.

A big thank you to all involved in their upkeep they make a huge difference to the environment.
      T. Tappenden - August 2016
    • Just a quick line to thank you and the teams for all your hard work in getting Kidlington and Bicester ready for In Bloom judging. Both areas looked fantastic on the day, so hopefully we'll get some good results in September!

Please can you also let the teams know that their efforts are very much appreciated.
      T. Green, Landscape Officer, Cherwell District Council & South Northamptonshire Council - July 2016
    • I just hope that Banbury will have as beautiful hanging baskets this year as last year, as it was a real boost for my morale every time I went to town.

I would like to congratulate the people who are looking after them as the arrangement was done with good taste and they looked after the flowers beautifully. I always remembered that after a real deluge I was half expecting the flowers to be completely destroyed, but on the contrary, they appeared as fresh as if nothing had happened.

So thanks again to the 'flower team' and look forward to this year's beautiful display.
      T. James - April 2016
    • Can I just say how impressed we are by your beautiful planting throughout the town. The colours are spectacular and we particularly love the horses at the cross!

      Congratulations to your team!
      'H' - August 2015
    • Glad to have my faith in grounds contractors restored after my day elsewhere, the roundabouts on the way home really stood out. Well done.
      B. Collins - May 2015

      V. Murray - May 2016
    • Just a short email to say how improved the overall standard of hort work across area 2 has been so far this year compared to previous years.

John [Upfold] seems to have made a big difference in the short time he's been with you and its been refreshing to deal with someone who is enthusiastic, keen and hardworking as he has been.
      J. Wren, Green Spaces Monitor, Croydon Council - May 2016
    • Just like to say the grass cutting that I saw round the Waddon Estate looked really good everywhere.
      A. Brett, Senior Contracts Technical Officer, Croydon Council - May 2016
    • Can you please pass on a big thanks to Steve, James and Callum. I think the lads since they have started on bowling greens and cricket squares have done an excellent job while being overseen by Steve Kimber. If they carry on the way they have started the greens should be excellent during the season and we should get no complaints.

So again, please pass on to all three of them.
      A. Brett, Senior Contracts Technical Officer, Planning & Development, Croydon Council - April 2016
    • I had the pleasure of going to Purley Way on Sunday when I was the referee on one of the Junior pitches.

I was struck by the extra effort that the 'grounds crew' had clearly gone to making the pitches look so good. The lines on all the pitches I walked past (and on the pitch my game was on) had been neatly cut and marked and the grass everywhere was a good length. Several people remarked how good the pitches looked.

So my sincere thanks to those responsible.
      S. Davis, Tandridge Youth League - March 2016
    • I went to the Selsdon Residents Association meeting last night and there was unanimous approval of the works done to the triangle. Please pass on my thanks to all involved.

    • Many thanks for looking after the bowls green this season. Very much appreciated.
South Norwood Lake Bowling Club - September 2015
    • Waddon Ponds has improved fantastically over the last few years and is now a really pleasant little haven in an urban area. The guy who works in there works tirelessly and is doing a brilliant job and hopefully you can pass on our familys thanks for all the work he does well done again and thanks again.
      Mr. J. Penfold - August 2015
    • I visited Coombe Gardens today. I would like to express a big thank you to the gardener. The display of flowers is really wonderful! The gardens are a real oasis of peace and colour in our very busy town.
      S. Astington - August 2015
    • I just wanted to write to say what a great job the guys have made of the [Grange] park.

The area around the park has been overgrown for a number of years and for whatever reason the Council decided to let it go natural... A huge Thank you to your men, who were extremely pleasant when I spoke to them, for all their hard work. It has transformed the park for me and I am sure for many others, especially children, who will be able to investigate the areas with confidence, rather than apprehension.

I just wanted to write as I am delighted that the community service is so directly being appreciated by the community.
      M. Mangan - August 2015
    • Yesterday I tool my elderly mother-in-law to Coombe Wood - she was absolutely blown away by the gardens and how well they are kept. She's a veteran of National Trust type gardens and was a keen gardener herself when she was more able. She wanted me to pass on her heartfelt thanks and admiration to the people responsible.

I explained that Tec is the gardener and he's given a certain amount of free-reign by Quadron which allows him to be creative and put the time in to make such amazing borders.

The real positive outcome of such quality horticulture is it lifted the spirits of a frail lady and has inspired her to get propagating plants to pass on to others; it's put a spring in her step again!

Please pass on our sincere thanks to Tec and all concerned in letting him run the show at Coombe Wood!
      A. Williams, Senior Environmental Services Officer, Croydon Council - August 2015
    • May I complement you on the superb display of flowers in Croham Road, South Croydon opposite Old Palace School and sponsored by B&W.

The Spring flowers were a joy to see and now the summer flowers are very colourful.

      So congratulations all round.
      Mr J. Browne - July 2015
    • The Friends of Grange Park would like to thank you very much for Quadron's generous donation to our charity. The involvement of Quadron in creating the wildflower meadow is also very much appreciated. Please pass on our thanks to the staff who attended on the day and assisted the children in the planting of seeds. The event raised in excess of 2,000 pounds.

Quadron's contribution is extremely important to the Friends and we hope that we can count on your continued support.
      R. Haxton, Treasurer & Trustee, Friends of Grange Park - April 2015
    • Would just like to say what a relief it is to have the verges outside our houses on Purley Way attended to...The workmen have worked so hard this morning and I would like them to know how much it is appreciated that they have tidied up after their work.  Thank you.
      S. Popham - March 2015
    • Just wanted to let you know of the improvement in quality of the grounds maintenance at Wandle Park.

Since Malcolm has been there the quality of the park has really improved.  I have been really impressed by his attitude, his initiative and his enthusiasm.
      T. Smith, Wandle Park Volunteering and Learning Officer, Croydon Council - December 2014
    • I was discussing how nice the [Wandle] park looked at the moment... It looks particularly free of litter.  Other friends have also noticed, so congratulations are in order!
      N. Barnett - December 2014
    • In my travels I caught up with the guys who were working yesterday on the small wooded roundabout on 'Court Hill', Sanderstead.

They have done a great job on pruning (topiary), clearing up the area for winter and are a credit to the Quadron organisation.

They are a great example of how to maintain the public woodlands, leaving us, the local residents, living in an area to be very proud of.

      Keep up the wonderful work.
      J. Newberry - November 2014
    • The Friends of Grange Park Play Area would like to extend their sincere thanks to Quadron Services for their generous support in helping us to hold our Autumn Bulb Planting Event, 'Growing in Grange Park', on Saturday 8 November.  Over 3,500 bulbs which were generously donated by Quadron were planted in Grange Park by local people, including young families who attended our event.  This was so popular an attraction that we ran out of bulbs with over an hour to go before the end of our event!  In addition, Quadron sponsored pots, compost, and miniature daffodils which enabled us to host a 'pot up a planter' stall which was tremendously popular and enabled attendees to take home their very own pot of Spring bulbs in return for a donation.  Quadron also paid for a banner which enabled us to market our event to the community of Old Coulsdon.

We hosted a cake stall, face-painting, welly-wanging (run by the local Air Cadets) and a lucky-dip as well as the pot up a planter stall, and raised a tremendous 622 pounds for the play area renovation fund!  These funds takes us a step closer to reaching our 25,000 pounds fundraising target (we have over 13,500 pounds of secured funds, together with several thousand more in pledged funds).

We would like to thank, in particular, Adrian and Brian [pictured below], who enthusiastically and diligently worked with local people to plant up bulbs in Grange Park despite the abysmal weather conditions.  They were polite, hard-working, and a pleasure to have supporting us at our event.

Further, Andrew Kauffman was the original inspiration of an event of this nature, having suggested at our paint the play area initiative back in September 2014 that Quadron could donate some bulbs for a bulb planting event.  He took the lead in much of the planning for the event, helping us to pull off this event at relatively short notice.  He managed to borrow a tea urn for us from his parents' local church, along with several tables!  He was even corresponding with us extensively whilst on a family break in India to ensure that our event was meticulously planned.  This dedication in the corporate world, speaking from my own experience, is unique.

We look forward to working with Quadron Services in future, and are very grateful for your generous support
Hannah Price-Harries, Friends of Grange Park Play Area - November 2014
    • Please pass on thanks from myself and the PE Department to Steve Kimber, Roger, Nick and the two Peters for their hard work and effort in getting the rugby goals up and the pitch ready in time for the Harris Academy Schools' tournament today.
      D. Thomas, Croydon Council - November 2014
    • Just to let you know that Alan and Steve (Quadron) have done a nice job on my laurel at the back of the main stand.
Scott Hart, Manager, Croydon Sports Arena - November 2014
    • I passed the Quadron guys strimming and trimming the woodland paths today and thanked them for their work.

The Friends have been very pleased with the sympathetic way in which they have cut the field paths (a bit longer than usual which looks more natural) and especially the woodland paths.  These have been tidied up for good access but not cut back too brutally into the marginal zone where so many species grow.  It is also a much better time of year to do this work as everything is dying back.

So on behalf of the Friends of Selsdon Wood, thank you to you for organising everything.
      H. Govier, Chair, Friends of Selsdon Wood - October 2014
    • I wanted to compliment you on the attractive shrubs and flowers on the roundabout at the top of Sanderstead Road.  It really cheers up my journey.
      Ms. E. Ainsworth - September 2014
    • Our Committee is delighted with the work of your team in our park [Coulsdon Memorial Grounds Park] and its resulting appearance and condition.  It is a great improvement.  In particular we appreciate the work of Brian who cares for the borders around our bowling green and the mini-golf course.  He goes the extra mile for us and does really well and is a great credit to your company.  We have received many compliments from local residents about the appearance of the areas Brian manages.  We would appreciate it if he could receive our thanks
      P. Morris, Committee Member of the Friends of Marlpit Lane Bowling Green - July 2014

    • I am emailing to extend my huge thanks to Kevin and Ian from Quadron who came and supported us as we set up W12 festival a week ago. They were both such an enormous help and I was really impressed by their willingness to muck in and the enthusiasm they showed throughout.

Thank you so much for supporting our event this way and please do pass on my thanks to Kevin and Ian. We couldn't have set up in the time allocated without them!
      L. Mullaly, Big Local Marketing and Events Coordinator - August 2016
    • I am a regular user of Bishop's Park in Fulham and I just wanted to say how wonderful, friendly and hardworking the Quadron team are who look after the park. They maintain it beautifully and always have a smile. Also, they have been the same team for a while and really work together. With all of them turning their hand to something different every day. I cant praise them highly enough.
      L. Flynn - July 2015
    • I would like to say a huge thank you for being so supportive with our volunteer day at Wormwood Scrubs.

We really couldn't have asked for better support. The materials you supplied were great and Phil's support on the day was extremely helpful.
Saskia Horivius, Corporate Engagement Manager, Works4U - July 2015
    • The Mayor has asked me to pass on her sincere thanks for all your help with the WW1 Commemoration on Saturday.

The service was very moving and a fitting tribute to all those who lost their lives in WW1.

The event involved a whole range of people from all walks of life and numerous organisations.  The very generous donation by Quadron towards the event is much appreciated.

The months of work on the poppy garden and staff time were borne out by a delightful Poppy Garden of Remembrance.  It was hugely difficult for the staff to keep the poppies going in time for the event, the weather was against them, also the time of year.  Despite all this the poppies looked lovely, which is a real credit to your staff.

Please pass on our sincere thanks to all concerned.

Read more about this commemorative event on the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham's website.
Mrs I. Hartzenbourg, Head of Mayor's Office - September 2014
    • On behalf of the Royal Horticultural Society, I am writing to thank you for all the help and support you and your teams have demonstrated in the planning and delivery of the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2013.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you personally not only for the loyalty and commitment you and your onsite teams have dedicated to the show, but also to me and the rest of the Hampton Shows team.  It was a great year, with record attendance figures and a huge amount of positive feedback something we couldn't achieve without the brilliant teams we work with.

      Once again my sincere thanks.
Sarah Jerrold, Deputy Operations Manager, Hampton Court Palace Flower Show - September 2013
    • [Refers to the wildlife garden developed by Quadrons Phil Quirke, Andrew Kauffman and the static team, with the help of local volunteers]

I just wanted to let you know that the area of the wilderness in Ravenscourt Park which has been planted with meadow flowers is a stunning success.  Members of the public have been commenting on what a difference it has made to the area and how pretty the flowers are looking.

Myself and a colleague were in the area last week and it was very busy with school children enjoying playing hide and seek and generally having fun.

I would like to say thanks to the people responsible for turning this area around from being a disused area full of nettles and weeds into a lovely natural wildlife area.

Yvonne Shorten, The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham - July 2013
    • Hello James,

I am one of the organizers of LondonSports and I just wanted to let you know what great shape the fields are in this year!  We have had many comments from the parents about how nice the fields have been all year, well done.
Peter Bohn, Marketing Coordinator - LondonSports - June 2013
    • Mike and I have just been to look at the garden and were blown away, not just by the unseasonal gale but the difference in the appearance of the rose garden and surrounding lawns since our last visit.
A massive improvement!. The grass looks as good as it could given its previous general ill health and the awful weather. The roses are doing very well indeed and the other improvements, such as extra planting of shrubs, the new edging around the cedar border in the middle of the garden and the removal of the smallish cedar have all made a major difference.
All those who have worked on the project should be congratulated, as of course should you for your commitment and perseverance.
The Hurlingham Club I am sure would say that their contribution was money very well spent. As we were leaving a dog walker stopped us and commented on how impressed she was with the garden, and she turned out to be not just a regular park user but a Hurlingham member.
I am sure that the passing of the Green Flag inspection will prove to be a mere formality, and I sincerely hope that following the focus of today, the vital regular follow up maintenance work will be carried out to the same high standard. If this proves to be the case then Hurlingham Park will without doubt be the pride of the area and a beacon to which others can be guided by.
      Congratulations to everyone involved.

Peter Craig and Mike Batie - Hurlingham Club - May 2013
    • I would like to say "Thank you" to all the staff and the gardeners for making our cemetery look so clean and so well groomed. A lot of work and preparation has gone into your efforts.

      We do appreciate it all.
      Joan - Co-op Funeralcare - May 2013
    • I wanted to put in writing how much I and my family appreciate the work you and your team do in the parks in Fulham.  We live next to South Park and love it the team there are great, they work hard, are really friendly and wave hello to me and my kids.  They make the park a great place.  We used to live near Hurlingham Park and loved that, too.
      L. Russell - April 2013
    • I walk through this cemetery twice weekly... I cannot fail to notice how clean and tidy, so well maintained the cemetery looks.  Credit where credit's due.  What else can I say but thank you.
      A Local Resident - April 2013
    • I would like to thank Quadron for all their very hard work in Cathnor Park. It continues to be very well maintained and exceptionally litter free.
      A. Clarke, Chair, Cathnor Park Area Action Group - February 2013
    • We moved to Hammersmith from Kensington & Chelsea 10 years ago this month. Since then I have seen the most imaginative and successful re-development of the local parks in this Borough. They are fantastic!  Our four grandsons love visiting us here as they can have a wonderful time in so many parks: by The Ship, Ravenscourt, Frank Banfield Park and St Peter's Square.

The banks created in Frank Banfield Park provide an open space for people to enjoy without all being on top of one another. (I have thought how similar banks would cut out the noise from the A4 in Furnival Gardens too).
Please pass a big thank you to everyone involved in the Parks programme - planners, gardeners, maintenance & office staff as well as the cheerful sweepers!
      L. Harris - January 2013
    • Thanks very much for the hard work in Normand Park this morning.  I heard you jet washed the area, it was immaculate.  Cllr Paget-Brown and Cllr Rossi were very impressed with the park.
      H. Ryan, Parks Constabulary - November 2012
    • I just wanted to give you the thrilling news that at yesterday's London in Bloom 2012 awards, HammersmithLondon won two Silver Gilt awards for both Town Centre and BID area.

This success would not have been possible had it not been for the support and efforts of various people from LBHF, Quadron Services, Serco, The Hammersmith Community Gardens Association and many others.

The help that I was given throughout this project by them has been very gratefully received and enriched the area for the benefit of the LIB judges and visitors to the area. Their significant efforts have meant that the Hammersmith Town Centre is now recognised as a clean, green and vibrant area to live work and visit.

I have found this project a very good example of partnership working and certainly one of the most rewarding projects that I have worked on in my time here.
      M. John, Operations Director, HammersmithLondon - September 2012
    • I wish to congratulate your efforts to refurbish the Bishops Park, which is one of the most beautiful parks in our district.  The improvements made a lot of difference to our everyday wellbeing, from the children of varied ages, up to the oldest people.

Thank you for giving us such moments of lasting happiness!
      Mrs M. Tweedie - August 2012
    • I'm writing to say "thank you!" to everyone concerned with the refurbishment, maintenance and care of Bishop's Park. We have lived not far away for three years, and have only discovered this gem about two months ago, and it has now become a firm favourite with us and (especially) our two and a half year-old daughter.

From the children's play areas to the pleasant walks, together with the wet play area and sand pit, it is an absolutely first-class amenity of which everyone at H&F concerned should be very proud.

      Well done!
      P. Fullick - August 2012
    • Hurlingham Park all weather pitch looked impressive this afternoon.  New goals, new nets and some pitch cleansing has made all the difference.

      J. Budkiewicz, Acting Community Sports Manager, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham - August 2012
    • Thank you so much for your help for yesterday's event. Please pass sincere thanks to the Quadron team, especially George who kept the park lovely and clean and helped get us a water supply.

We had over 3500 visitors, over 2000 had a bounce on Sacrilege, the Stonehenge inflatable!
We got some really great feedback and a thumbs up from Mayor of London office for hosting a successful event.
      H. Pinnington, Events Manager, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham - August 2012
    • It has been a week now since we had our area judged as part of the 2012 London in Bloom competition and I wanted to give you all my sincere thanks for all the tremendous effort that you have put in. I havent worked on a project so far where so many people have come together to offer their support and I am very grateful for it.

From the very beginning I have felt very much part of a larger group working on this award for the benefit of the area and it has been a great pleasure, I feel the judging went like clockwork and any anxiety I had quickly left me when I saw it all coming together at each step of the way. We finished bang on time and I dont feel there were any unnecessary or less relevant sections of the tour, I think the judges had as good a tour of the area looking at its best as they could possibly have had.

It is now a little nerve wracking waiting for the results but I am quietly confident that we have done well and I have you all to thank for that.

I look forward to working with you all again soon and hope that this years results will beat last year's tremendous results, fingers crossed.
      M. John, Operations Director, Hammersmith London - August 2012
    • I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your hard work and time over the Jubilee weekend to ensure that the events in Bishops Park and Furnivall Gardens, were safe and successful.
I was in a very grey and damp Bishops Park on Sunday and the crowds seemed to be enjoying the new park as well as the big screen and view of the pageant from the riverwalk.

Many thanks for a great team effort.
      D. Pentelow, Head of Culture Environment, Leisure and Residents Services - June 2012
    • Thank you for sponsoring the Freedom of the Borough and Homecoming Parade held on Sunday 11th March 2012 in honour of the Royal Yeomanry.

Please pass on my sincere thanks also to the members of your team who worked tirelessly to ensure that the flower beds at the front of the Town Hall looked their best and that things ran smoothly on the day.  They are perfect ambassadors for your company, they were extremely efficient and undertook all the tasks with good humour; it was a pleasure to work with them.

The event was only made possible by such generous support as yours, which is greatly appreciated.
Councillor Frances Stainton, Mayor - April 2012
    • On behalf of the Hurlingham District Residents Association I would like to thank you and your staff at Quadron Services Ltd for all that was done last Thursday to make the Tree Planting event so successful.
As you probably gathered there were people of different nationalities there and all the reports we have received is that both children and parents thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We were impressed with the knowledge some children had about the importance of trees but doubtless they learnt even more by participating last week.  Your staff were incredibly good in dealing with the children and encouraging them.
We have other ideas for the future in Hurlingham Park which in due course we will be discussing with Paul Bassi and the Council. We look forward to working with you.
Hurlingham Park continues to improve and we are grateful for what you are doing.

Michael de Lacey, Hurlingham District Residents Association - March 2011
    • just had to write in briefly as your gardening crew have been to our block this Monday and Tuesday. What a great job they have done - debris cleared, shrubs pruned (appropriately), edges sharpened and plants tidied. And all in no time at all! ...The pruning is especially good.. Please pass on my thanks.
On a slightly different topic- the kids garden club. The kids are all still keen but I have totally failed to interest any adults in the block so I think we should stick with the size we have for now. ..Many thanks for your support.
Customer in Hammersmith & Fulham: - December 2009
    • "Our message since 2006 is that you can deliver more for less...We are focussing on providing better services.....we do believe in competion, we have driven cost out by letting contracts.....Quadron are experts at gardening.........when we inherited this council there wasn't a single park of sufficient quality to get a green flag, we now have three."
Councillor Stephen Greenhalgh, Leader of London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, during talk on Radio 4 on 3 October 2009: - September 2009
    • I just wanted to say a very big thank you for all your hard work and a very well done for the excellent result at London in Bloom on Friday. The teams goes from good to better! Many thanks and congratulations!
Asst. Director of Parks & Culture, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham: - August 2009
    • "I just wanted to write and let you know that following their entry into 'H&F in bloom' competition, the children's vegetable garden was featured in H&F News in a full page spread, p 11. Several of the families, (all on low incomes) are using the abundant courgettes cropping now and eagerly await the potato digging and tomato ripening shortly! This is all down to Gerry and all of you at Quadron making it possible - something the journalist left out in her article. This is definitely value added service - please do pass on our thanks for all your help. All the best, Jacky Mortimer. (read more on this in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham page)
Clifford & Falkland House, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, letter to Ben Binnell, Quadron's Contract Manager: - July 2009
    • I think the planting of the Silver Grey and Red plants in the flower bed near the duck pond are absolutely stunning. Would you please tell me the names of these two plants, in particular the grey/silver one as I would like to use these in my own garden. Well done and a big thank you for making the park look so beautiful and giving us residents so much pleasure with your planting ideas.
Resident of Ashchurch Park Villas, London Borough of Hammersmith& Fulham: - July 2009
  • The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea

    • I've been out of London for the last couple of weeks and have just visited Holland Park with my family, and I must say the borders and the park generally are looking wonderful.

Please pass on my thanks and congratulations to everyone in your team who can manage such feats, even in mid-summer.
      R. Fielding-Mellen - August 2016
    • I was with some friends yesterday and we were walking round Holland Park. They were immensely impressed by the quality of the planting in the Dutch Garden and the very high maintenance standards in evidence across the park. We also happened to stop off in Avondale Park which was looking very good.

They were similarly impressed by the quality of our hanging baskets all over the place and the very clean general appearance of the Borough.

      Well done to all concerned.
      Cllr. N. Paget-Brown - August 2016
    • Thank you for taking a Saturday of your own time to put together what turned out to be a hugely successful event.

Many of our volunteers had not visited Holland Park before, and now they are huge fans of the park as well as of Quadron!

You're an amazing team and we hope to have a chance to work together again.
Tamara and Caroline, Team Co-ordinators for the inaugural Corporate Family Volunteering Day at Holland Park - May 2016
    • Just a note to thank you for the exquisitely lovely flowers in Holland Park's formal gardens this summer.  Possibly the best I can remember.  Hope you'll repeat it next year.
      J. Peach - August 2014
    • Well done to everyone on a genuinely great achievement.  Improved parks with well maintained facilities and grounds and a strong community and biodiversity ethos makes this team unassailable.
Barrie MacLaurin, Bi-Borough Parks Manager for The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea & London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, regarding the 2013 London in Bloom results - September 2013
    • I would be most grateful if you would pass on my thanks to all those teams who have been involved in the planning and operation of this years [Notting Hill] Carnival.  I met several of them at the weekend but know that many others have been involved and that the list above is no way complete.

The enormous number of visitors and the range of different activities which need to be managed and monitored represent a major challenge for the Council quite apart from the task of returning the streets to normal for residents ahead of the working week.

It is a great tribute to everyone concerned that, once again, we have been able to handle this with dedication and professionalism.
      Cllr. Nick Paget-Brown - August 2013
    • Once again I thank you for your willingness to give up your Bank Holiday weekend to contribute to the safe management of [Notting Hill] Carnival.

It appears the event has gone as well as can be expected and I am sure many attendees enjoyed themselves.  But your willingness to serve the public is outstanding and I thank you and, through you, all those colleagues who were on duty.

I am sure Kathy will also pass on our grateful thanks to all those involved in the clean up.  From reports, it sounds as though this might have needed to be even more productive than normal.
Derek Myers, Chief Executive, RBKC - August 2013
    • I was in the park for the Childrens Carnival, so I popped into the garden, it looked so lovely, and had the opportunity to thank Jean-Claude, the Gardener.
Cllr. Charles Williams (refers to Kensington Memorial Park) - August 2013
    • I just wanted to drop you a note saying I think the park keepers have done a lovely sensitive job with scything paths through the blackberries it's excellent.

I have seen a lot of butterflies in the grass this past week including a bright pink one, small with a bright edge to the wing.

The number of bees is something the Borough should be very proud of; the place is humming with them.
      S. Wilson - August 2013
    • I wish to let you know how impressed I am with the hard work the gardeners at Westfield Park do.  The park is always beautifully kept and the designs of the flower beds are always original and never predictable.

The gardeners are a credit to the beautiful Borough we are all privileged to live in.
      Mr. S. Cowell - August 2013
    • Congratulations Team Parks: I heard at lunch that residents' satisfaction with the parks service is up 2% this year from 78% to 80% (the London average is 66%).

Please pat yourselves on the back and ensure that the front-line colleagues are also congratulated on this achievement.
Barrie MacLaurin Bi-Borough Parks Manager for The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea & London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham - July 2013
    • I just wanted to formally thank you for the incredible support you offered our Parents' Association in staging our charity event at our local Kensington Memorial Park.

It was just so magical, Bassett House school kids absolutely loved it and our efforts were well rewarded.  Everyone left feeling very happy with the outcome.

I've already sung Martin's praises who was an absolute pleasure to deal with, but special mention should also be made for his colleague and Jean-Claude who, between them, had the grounds and field beautifully prepared.  Personally, I don't think the park has ever looked so immaculate!

Martin's colleague was incredibly helpful and between us we ensured that the grounds were left clear of all refuse and returned how we found them.

      With the deepest of thanks.
      L. Poynton, Charity Co-ordinator, BHSPA - July 2013
    • I'm just dropping you a line to say how cleverly you design St Quintin Gardens.

The plants, flowers and colour combinations are always simply lovely in the summer.

We live in Highlever Road, so at the top of the road is the most uplifting sight I want to save BRAVO to the designer and gardeners who make our part of Kensington look so very pretty.
      V. Hobday - June 2013
    • Dear Ben
With the Chelsea Show behind us, I would like to formally thank you and your team for the terrific support you have given us throughout the whole build up and breakdown periods.   Without you I am certain we would not have been able to create a Stand of the calibre we did.
Not only do I congratulate you on your dedication to us, but the friendly, caring and efficient manner that all your staff displayed to us.   Gordon Wade and Graham Patterson come to mind as worthy of particular mention - their support was unwavering and nothing was too much trouble.   Bearing in mind that the breakdown started at 5.30 pm, I can only imagine what time they got home that night, as I left the site at 9.00 pm and there was still a lot to do.
With best wishes and repeated thanks

Terry - Upcher & Co Ltd, the Landscape Architechts responsible for the BALI stand - May 2013
    • The Quote below refers to BALI's stand at the Chelsea Flower show and the help Quadron provided.

"Quadron Services have been superb and helped the team with delivering the products on to site at relevant times when direct to site delivery wasnt possible. It has been a mammoth task and we should be very proud of what our members are capable of, especially in a volunteer situation!!"
Wayne Grills, BALI Chief Operating Officer - May 2013
    • Thank you so much for enabling our members to enjoy a great afternoon at Holland Park yesterday. Everything was absolutely perfect and the Kyoto Garden was looking immaculate in the warm sunshine.
It is now the fifth time I have visited the garden and, truly, I have never seen it looking better and it is a great tribute to the work and skill of Ian Fleming and his team under your leadership. It was immaculate and is a wonderful example of the Japanese style of garden. I can understand how you are so obviously proud of it.
Jack Wheeler - Chairman of the Japanese Garden Society SE Branch - May 2013
    • To the gardeners who tend the Northpole Roundabout, W10.

I just wanted to tell you how beautiful the roundabout looks this year, you have planted the most amazing colour scheme, I love the purple and orange.

It is such a delight to wake up in the morning, look out of the window and see such beautiful flowers.

Thank you so much for a wonderful job, it is much appreciated.
      S. Young - May 2013
    • I wanted to congratulate you and the team on the marvellous tulip display in the Dutch Garden, I think it is one of the best I have seen in Holland Park.  Glorious colours, varying heights and depth to the display truly stunning.  You have set yourselves a very high bar going forward!  Good luck with London in Bloom.

    • I would like to bring to your attention the excellent work being done by Jorge Lopez de Paiva.  He does not have an office, he does not have a desk or chair.  All he has is a store room filled with cleaning material, but he keeps our office, desks, chairs, floor lockers etc, spotless.

He is very meticulous and conscientious. After he finishes with a table or desk he endeavours to put everything back in its place.  He is quite courteous and respectful.  In my 18 years in Holland Park I have not seen a cleaner do such a great job.
      A. Bastian, Parks Police - May 2013
    • Driving past the [Embankment] gardens today we all commented on the lovely display - fantastic colour combinations, really cheery on a gloomy day.

      C. Starren - May 2013
    • We would like to say a 'well done' to George, the new [Holland Park] cleaner, he is certainly the best we have had for a long time.
      M. Rumble, Parks Police Inspector - February 2013
    • I would like to thank your employee, Shirley O'Mahony of the Cemetery Office, as I found her to be an efficient people person, courteous, helpful and showed outstanding commitment to her work when I was going through a very difficult time recently when my sister died suddenly. ... She gave an excellent service and her customer care skills were of the highest standards, which gave credit to your team.

      Many thanks.
      A service user - February 2013
    • Congratulations on being nominated in the category 'Most Improved Customer Experience' for this year's Star Awards. It is a significant accolade and much deserved so well done. The nominations are made by your colleagues and are a clear indication of the high regard in which you are held and the fact that the excellent work you do is recognised.

My thanks to you for doing such a fantastic job at work and I am pleased you have been nominated, an achievement in itself.
Lyn Carpenter, Executive Director Environment, Leisure and Resident Services Department - November 2012
    • Many congratulations on a wonderful set of [London in Bloom] awards once again. Please thank all the in-house and Quadron staff who have made this possible.

I was very impressed by our visit to the northern parks last week and look forward to visiting Holland Park and the Chelsea parks shortly.

      Councillor Paget-Brown - September 2012
    • Just wanted to say what a brilliant job youve done with the planting in RBKC this summer.  The Holland Park formal garden is particularly stunning but so also are the smaller areas around the Borough.  Thank you.
      Mrs C. Elmhirst - August 2012
    • Westfield Park is looking great.
      Mr B. Wilson - August 2012
    • As a local resident in Earls Court, I just wanted to say a big thank you that during such a busy time in our area and regardless of human/traffic congestion and constant road closure, your people managed to keep essential services moving ... I would also like to thank the Council for the beautiful display of flower baskets and plantation of beautiful trees along the Warwick Road.  They are all doing very nicely and are very much admired by the thousand upon thousands of visitors coming to the Exhibition Centre.
      M. Rahimian - August 2012
    • Another fantastic result [in the Green Flag Awards] which is a credit to the Parks team in RBKC and of course Quadron, Friends Groups and other officer colleagues.  I am very proud of the achievement you have all worked so hard to secure and my thanks go to everyone involved.
      L. Carpenter, Executive Director Environment, Leisure & Residents Services Department, The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea - July 2012
    • A brilliant result [RBKC achieved 9 Green Flags]: well done and thank you for your hard work in this achievement! Eight years we only had one ... six years ago we only had one. And now: almost a full bag.
      B. Maclaurin, Leisure Services Manager, The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea - July 2012
    • It was a pleasure to work with you, your team and Kyoto gardeners again in June. To see the Holland Park gardeners and the Kyoto gardeners cultivate their friendship and team spirit was also touching and I'm sure led to the wonderful results, too ... I very much look forward to seeing the garden develop into an even more magnificent garden in the future.  I really cannot wait to see it.
      Keiko - July 2012
    • I just wanted to thank you for helping us to arrange the FOX OLYMPIAN FUN RUN last Saturday 23rd June in Holland Park.

Forty-five children aged 5-11 from Fox Primary School completed a total of 563 laps in one hour to try and raise sponsorship to  help to fund The Amazing Sports Week Activities that each and every child had enjoyed during Fox Sports Week the previous week. The enthusiasm and determination of even the youngest children as they ran or walked around the course in your beautiful park and past our Olympic Inspiration Checkpoints was fantastic.

Again Thank you and I look forward to working with you again in  the future regarding  similar Fox  activities in Holland Park.
      J. Montefiore, Co-Chair Fox FSA - June 2012
    • I met two of your staff today in Kensington Memorial Park. What lovely guys they were!  Jean-Claude and Nick couldn't have been more helpful to my colleague and I. I thanked them personally before I left, but please ensure this message is passed onto them.
      N Suckling - June 2012
    • Thank you for the beautiful wildflower corner in St Mark's Park and the fantastic management of Little Wormwood Scrubs.  Scrubs is just fantastic. The wild area at the back is heaven for little boys. Adventure playground wonderful. Outdoor gym a great idea. Dog free area great for picnics.  Love having Little Wormwood Scrubs at the end of my street... Snowmen in the winter, picnics in the summer and cycling, scooting and den building all year round. Thank you.
      P. Jones - June 2012
    • Can I also add my thanks to Mr Binnell and all the Quadron team who were present. The whole park looked quite magnificent and the greeting from the staff to the Royal couple was most impressive and I am sure was appreciated.

I was very taken by the "Rising Sun" motif in the Dutch Garden.

Senior Contract Manager, Ben Binnell, greets the Japanese Emperor and Empress in Holland Park's Kyoto Garden
      Councillor Paget-Brown - May 2012
    • I wanted to write to say thank you for another great season at RHSG. We feel very privileged to play there and would like to thank you for providing an excellent service for all of our Saturday and Sunday matches.

The ground is a favourite of our Sunday league (Central London Super Sunday League) opposition and has a real feel of home for our Saturday side. The ladies were a new addition to using the ground this year and they thoroughly enjoyed playing there.

Please pass on our thanks to your ground service team and we look forward to Sloane FC's 6th season on the ground!
General Secretary, Sloane FC - May 2012
    • Just a note to say how much I love what you have done with the planting on Tavistock Road in the new beds on the square.  Herbs and lavender are such a brilliant choice and reflect the spirit of the Portobello market perfectly.  It's going to look lovely as it matures.
      G. Bradley - April 2012
    • On Sunday 19th February my husband and I took our young rescue dog for a walk in Little Wormwood Scrubs Park.

Unfortunately she got excited and ran into the bramble patch becoming entangled and we could not get her out.  The dog was caught up by her lead right in the centre of the brambles and was distressed and barking.

Two helpful rangers came along.  [Kaci Tahar and Ronald Petronis].  They were concerned about cutting the brambles because of the habitat they provide, but realised that the dog was distressed and that we could not get her out.  We could not even see her.

They reassured us that they would help and they went away and got a motorised hedgecutter which had to be used.  After working for almost an hour they managed to find the dog and get her out. They had to cut a pathway into the centre of the brambles.  She had been caught fast but we were all relieved when she was brought to safety unharmed.

My husband offered the rangers some money for their efforts but they refused and said they were just doing their job.  We were extremely grateful.  We were very lucky they came along as we would not have been able to get her out on our own.

I want to commend the two gentlemen who came to our rescue: They were helpful and used their initiative. They also refused any reward.  I hope they were not in trouble for cutting the brambles!

      W. Medcalf - March 2012
    • Thought I just had to say how lovely the planting in the [Kensington Town Hall] courtyard looked this morning daffodils and primroses.  Well done to Quadron.  Glorious against the horse chestnut which is just budding Spring is finally springing!

      L. Sayer - March 2012
    • What they [the mobile team] have achieved is quite miraculous...most plants have been cut back, any over-hanging branches have been lopped-off, and some plants have been repositioned, creating an overall balanced effect.

An additional benefit of the work done is that St. Luke's Church is now visible from Pond Place. So many thanks to you and the team.

Mrs Alexander, The Sydney Street & District Residents' Association - January 2012
    • It was a fantastic achievement by RBKC and I add my congratulations to our parks team and all those who have worked so hard in the individual parks to achieve this magnificent result.
Cllr. Nicholas Paget-Brown regarding the Borough's achievements in London in Bloom 2011 - October 2011
    • I wonder if you are able to pass on a message to the gardeners who tend
the flower beds in St Quintins Gardens in North Kensington?

Just to pass on my thanks and appreciation  to them for the beautiful
flower beds they create. They always do a wonderful job, whatever time
of year it is. I always look forward to seeing what they will do next.

But this summer's beds have been exceptional. The way the colour scheme
and shape of the flowers and greenery has changed through the season has
been an inspiration  and a reason to feel happy every time I pass them
on the way to and from work.

Local Park User - October 2011
    • I have just been in Holland Park, and in particular the formal gardens, and wanted to record how impressive they were - worthy of any good National Trust garden.
Holland Park Visitor - August 2011
    • Today, 9th August 2011, my children and myself attended West Kensington Memorial Gardens where they have an area of wet play (fountains).  I just wanted to compliment the very nice young man [Alex Ayodele] who was attending this area today, he was so helpful and child friendly and really seemed to be interested in what he was doing and helpful to people attending.

In such a negative current climate with the riots etc I was very pleasantly surprised and relieved to see that there are still others intent on bringing positives. Well done young man!
A Visitor to Kensington Memorial Gardens - August 2011
    • On behalf of our Chair, Gill Brown, and the Fun Day Committee, we would like to thank you for the amazing support you and your team gave the Fun Day on 18 June.

As you know, the aim of the Fun Day is not so much to raise money but to encourage local people to enjoy and care for their park.  Thanks to  the support of the Quadron team, the Friends of Little Scrubs, the Royal Borough and the Mayor of London, Little Wormwood Scrubs Fun Day is becoming a much-loved annual event.
The Friends of Little Wormwood Scrubs Fun Day Committee - July 2011
    • Well done team ... an excellent result from all of you!
From Barrie Maclaurin, Leisure Services Manager, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea: - August 2010
    • Its always a joy to see the formal garden and this years offering is an especial treat, not only for its great beauty but also for its use of plants hitherto unknown to me such as the impressive Moluccella in the top beds.
From Customer in Holland Park: - July 2010
    • we have just received a call from a client to say how very helpful Kadrie was in helping the client eventually find the grave, indeed, they said, if not for him they would never have found it. I will personally thank Kadrie, but I wanted you all to know what a good job he does up at Hanwell.
From RBKC Client Officer (cemeteries): - July 2010
    • "As per our conversation today in Holland Park about the flowers on the wall opposite the small children's playground, I attach some photos of my children that I had taken last year, in which you can see how beautiful last year's arrangements were. Thanks for keeping the park looking so good."
Letter from Customer in Holland Park, sent to Leonie, Assistant Head Gardener: - July 2010

From Cemeteries Manager, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea - April 2010
    • Over the last year the gardens have given me a great deal of pleasure, and I have really enjoyed their imaginative and painstaking revamp. The tomatoes in particular delighted me. And I actually picked some and ate them. I kept meaning to try and find out who was responsible so I could write and tell them what a good job they were doing.
From customer in Kensington in respect of Cremorne Gardens: - February 2010
    • Hello Rob, I am emailing you to commend you on your new park keeper, Peter. Peter is a happily friendly face in the park and always highly visible and approachable. The gardens here look fantastic and when not patrolling the park he is hard at work. The park always is a nice place to be, however since John left the park the park has seemed it was missing a strong park keeper. Peter is doing a fantastic job here at Cremorne Gardens and has a very strong and noticeable presence.
From Senior Youth Worker, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to Area Supervisor: - June 2009
    • The planting in the flower garden is very pretty indeed and one has more and more respect for the people working to keep the park looking so good.

    • I have been meaning to write for some time to congratulate you on the flowerbeds in Avondale Park. They look attractive and fresh and not at all municipal - well done. We love our park and we want to keep it looking good and safe.

    • I just wanted to thank you once again for all of your help in installing the bench for my mum at Kingston riverside.

Your kind understanding of the situation was such a great comfort to me, and the speed in which you were able to organise everything was fantastic. The bench looks lovely and is in the most perfect spot I shall spend many happy hours there!

      Thank you again.
      S. Walker - May 2016
    • I just wanted to send a big thank you to you and your team for the work that has been carried out at Hawker over the past 12 months. The pitches have been kept in great condition and considering we only had to cancel one weekend is testament to that hard work.

Please pass on our gratitude to your team.
      A. Wright, Centre Manager, YMCA London South West - May 2016
    • I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of myself and the tenants of Fountain Ct and Gooding Close for the flowers that have recently been delivered.  They will make a huge difference to how the flower beds around the site look.

I would also like to sing the praises of Veto and Nathan; they have both worked very hard and have done a great job in tidying up the hedges and trees around the site.  I have had a number of tenants comment on how hard they worked and how nice everything looks.

      C. Egan, Scheme Manager, Fountain Ct & Gooding Close - July 2014
    • Just wanted to share with you some positive feedback we have been receiving in the last few weeks around the contract.  I know there has been a tremendous amount of pressure this summer on operations, so only right that these positive comments are recognised and highlight the good work that the partnership does over and above the basic maintenance.

In addition, we had the London in Bloom judges visit the Borough on Friday.  Our returning judge, who also visited last year, was incredibly complimentary about the schemes that have been put in place since his last visit and the quality of what was on show, and a lot of this is down to the good work that Hannah has been doing in engaging with various groups and stakeholders.
Rob Waite, Green Spaces Officer, Kingston Council - July 2014
    • I wanted to make a point of saying how helpful and cooperative Lionel and his team from Quadron have been.  They ensured the grass was mowed, we had a trailer for rubbish, and keys to allow our access in and out of the park for deliveries (and to ensure no unauthorised vehicles were able to gain access).  They also made sure the toilet facilities were in perfect working order.  On the Saturday they provided and drove our winning parade float and loaned us a generator.
Heidi Gomes, Lunchbowl Network - July 2014
    • Chris Begley informs me that Lionel was very helpful in coming out when off duty on Friday evening to help with keys/locks for the changing rooms/toilets at King Georges fields on Friday night.

I thought Id just drop you a line to thank you for your help.  As you are probably aware the travellers left fairly promptly and your help and giving up your free time was really appreciated.
Scott Herbertson, Executive Head of Cultural Services & Lead Commissioner for Children's Services - July 2014

Sarah Jerrold Deputy, Operations Manager, Hampton Court Palace Flower Show - September 2013
    • It's great that our parks have won the Green Flag again.  Canbury Gardens is a gem, one of the finest spots in London, and I'd like to thank our contractor, Quadron, for doing such a great job looking after and improving all of the Borough's green spaces.
Councillor Simon James, Lead Member for Parks and Open Spaces, The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames - August 2013
    • We have recently experienced travellers on one of our premier Green Flag sites in Kingston. They entered an unsecured boundary across private land onto the park. It was late in the afternoon (about 6.00pm).

When requested, Steve Cole returned to Kingston, even though he was not on call to attend the site. When on site he took control of the situation in a calm and professional manner that has been praised at the highest level in Kingston. If you do have a reward system in Quadron I would like to nominate Steve as a member of Quadron staff as an example going the extra mile.

Lionel also responded to the call and, because he is very familiar with all the parks, he immediately set about checking all the access points. Both members of staff stayed available for several hours into the evening.

As you know, last year when the travellers managed to get onto a site in the middle of Kingston Quadron came in for some harsh criticism, I believe the way that they responded this time went a long way to repairing that attitude.

Even though having the travellers in Kingston was painful it was heartening to know that Quadron responded with speed and efficiency that went a long way to containing the situation.
      M. Edwards, Client Officer, The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames - July 2013

    • I would just like to comment on how beautiful the flowers look on the Fountain roundabout at New Malden.

I was on the bus and, despite the cold and gloomy day, the flowers brought a big smile to my face.  Spring must be on its way soon.

So please pass my thanks and appreciation to all who plan and create the beautiful display.
      V. O'Brien - March 2013
    • Just a quick email to say we have had the first visit from Quadron in Cattle Market car park and we are really pleased with the results.  The work was of the highest standard and superior to the previous contractor, who were more expensive.  Along with the good horticultural work, litter was also thoroughly removed from the planters and they look great as a result.  We are very much looking forward to their further work in the other car parks.
P Hoare, Team Leader Parking Operations, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames - August 2012
    • Just a word re sterling work done by your team on this busy week.
Although there was an exceptional amount of rubbish, broken glass etc, the team dealt with it and left the Park [Canbury Gardens] decent and fit to use again each morning.
      T. Willis, - August 2012
    • I have been off on leave for three days... and returned to be delighted to see the magnificent job your team did at Kingsmeadow. Please could you let Lionel know we are very pleased with the work they did... and say a big thank you from me personally.

    • A quick email to thank you for completing the verges and to compliment Quadron and their team for an excellent job, expeditiously completed. The team was really first rate.
Again many thanks for all your help.

Quadron has been working with residents of Matthews Avenue in Surbiton to help them reclaim their grass verges.  Initial clearance works have been carried out by Quadron and residents will plant them out and maintain them in the future.
      A Beeby - March 2012
    • The attitude, application and desire to continually improve the pitches by Quadron Services are excellent under increasingly restrictive circumstances.

Lionel's and Quadron's continued enthusiasm to achieve ongoing improvement with reduced resources is extremely impressive and Lionel's in depth knowledge of the sites will be essential for the efficient allocation of resources in line with the recommendations made.
STRI survey report regarding sports pitches - April 2011

I would love to be able to get our club to move to your grounds and I wondered if there was a waiting list or any way we can get to use your pitches as our home ground?

    • Just thought I should pass on the compliments from myself, the Manager and Residents at both St. Catherine's and Chaddesley regarding Mark and Hassan (Gardeners).

The residents are really impressed by the good work done around their gardens. They say that Mark and Hassan were very approachable and listened to their proposals on how they wished their gardens to look like, which they took on board.

I personally was impressed by their job.
      H. Nsubuga, Scheme Manager - October 2012
    • Thank you very much for sending Mark Hudson and his colleague to Bradshaw House to tidy and clear up outstanding jobs in our grounds.  Both have worked really hard this week and have done an amazing job cutting back hedging and ivy where requested and also plants which were climbing up walls.  The beds are being cleared of weeds and all tasks given have been undertaken politely and as soon as they could be done.

I have had good comments from a couple of the residents, one particularly who has said that at the rear of Bishops Hill "it's the best he's seen it".  Once the lawns have been mown the site will look much tidier.  I, and the residents appreciate the time Mark has been given to get this large amount of work done.
      J. Matthews, Flexible Scheme Manager - September 2012
    • Thank you so much.  On the day that I visited the scheme the team was busy working away.  There were lots of praises for the team which was very encouraging.  Keep up the good work.
      A. Newby, Sheltered Housing Manager - August 2012
    • A leaseholder called today to advise that the contractors have cut the grass, she said thank you it is a much better job than the other contractors and she is really pleased.
      S. Butler, Senior Tenancy Services Offiver - August 2012
    • The new garden contractors made a great job of the grass cutting on their recent visit and are by far the best in over 4 years.
      Mr A. Stewart - August 2012
    • I just wanted to let you know of the very positive feedback I have received from the residents to the new grounds men who came and cut the lawns at Bradshaw/Bishops and The Bowling last week.

I have had residents delighted with the way the lawns have been cut and have commented that the crew were very polite.  The crew took the time to listen when residents spoke to them and were "very nice and polite".
      J. Matthews, Flexible Scheme Manager - July 2012
    • Well done, a good day's work both sides of the River.  Pass on my thanks to the lads for their good work yesterday.

      D. Houston, Grounds Maintenance Manager - July 2012
    • Quadron really seem to know what they are talking about and the teams that we met, and have been meeting with over the past few months, seem really passionate about the work that they do and being able to enrich the lives of residents.
A Newby, Sheltered Housing Manager - July 2012
    • The gardeners are on site today for the first time.  They were telling me all about their training and that they cant use any equipment unless they have had training on it and everything has been bought brand new, so it all sounds pretty great off to a flying start!

  • The London Borough of Southwark

    • I've lived next to Burgess Park for 13 years and been walking through Camberwell Green for all that time too.

The transformation of these two places makes me happy every single time I use them, which is several times a week, usually every day. ... What you've done, with great planning, design and planting, has transformed it into a gloriously busy and good place to be.

When you're walking over the humps, up a sandy track with swaying flowers and grasses, you can almost believe you're on a sand dune. ... The diagonal bands of planting as you surface from the underpass towards the train and the avenue of cherries - they're wonderful. As is the wild flower garden on your right a little way along.

Camberwell Green, with a few subtle but all important changes, feels open, welcoming and new. The removal of the railings on the Peabody side is great. The paving is lovely. The playground is always teeming. As soon as it was re-opened, people flocked.

Please pass this on to the people who redesigned and reinvented these two spaces. They did a brilliant job.
      A. Higgins - September 2016
    • I did a walk round Kingstairs Gardens yesterday and the nice weather brought lots of people out. The little park was looking lovely and a credit. Well done the team.

Pat, Friends of Southwark Park - September 2016
    • Thank you so much again for working with us to donate the plants from the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show to our project Planton Movil. The plants which were donated by the various show gardens have been planted in planters in Copeland Park, Peckham SE15 for the community to enjoy.
      S. Bountakidou, Bosse & Baum - August 2016
    • As a new resident of the Borough, but a long-term visitor, I would really like to note that your maintenance and enhancement of green spaces of late has not gone unnoticed.

Pasley Park and Burgess Park really do seem to be looking very lovely of late. I realise that this is also attributed to the season, but as a resident I really do think that the maintenance has stepped up a notch. Please do keep doing what you are doing and giving us all lovely public spaces we can all enjoy.

Keep up the good work because it really is appreciated.
      H. Briggs - August 2016
    • Beautiful cycle past the gardens in Burgess Park, South London on my way to work this morning, with swathes of Echinacea and other flowers as far as I could see. Stunning. Bravo to the gardeners involved.

      M. Hammerton, referring to St George's Garden in Burgess Park - July 2016
    • Thank you so much for organising the donation and delivery of plants to Peckham today - we are delighted with them all, and the event and community garden would not have been possible without your help.
      L. Bountakidou - July 2016
    • A very big thank you to you and your team for all your help with the preparation for the tennis day at Bermondsey Carnival.

Your help was invaluable; without it, it would have been very difficult and stressful to coordinate the equipment. The part Quadron played was very important for the success of the event, and it was very successful and enjoyed by a lot of the local community.

I will be mentioning your support at the next Friends of Southwark Park meeting.

      Thank you again.
Dennis, Tennis Coach - July 2016
    • I just wanted to send a quick email regarding Sunday 26th June Honour Oak Annual Memorial Service.

TK, Mary and Ian are a credit to Quadron; their commitment and dedication is amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and their help was invaluable on Sunday.
      H. Doherty, Cemeteries & Crematorium Registrar, Camberwell New Cemetery - July 2016
    • Thank you very much for sorting out getting the tree branch cut so we can reopen the footpath.

Please can I say that Adam and his colleagues are doing a fantastic job with the Church Yard garden and they are all very lovely.
      D. Grant, InSpire at St Peter's - June 2016
    • A scooter was found in the pond we know as Mahogany Pond by the Quadron Services team that help upkeep the woodlands on a daily basis. They pulled the scooter out of the pond and wheeled it all the way back to the Steve Hill Eco Centre compound where the SNT have logged it for removal. So a big thank you to the Quadron team.
      S. Cornish, Friends of Russia Dock Woodland - May 2016
    • dealing with you over the last however many years has been great and an absolute breath of fresh air.
      B. Brocklehurst - May 2016
    • I am writing to thank you, on behalf of Southwark Council and the EBA team, for exhibiting at Southwark Careers Fair.

We welcomed over a thousand students from 17 schools over the two days, as well as home educators and parents. The feedback from students and schools is very positive.

Quadron was one of the stand-out exhibitors at the Fair - the team did really well, engaging the students with a career that had not occurred to many of them.

We thank you and your colleagues for giving so generously of your time and talents in preparing and delivering such engaging workshops for our young people. Your contribution will equip and inspire them to make informed choices about their future education, employment and careers.

      S. Duffy, Work Experience Manager, Southwark Education Business Alliance - May 2016
    • We wanted to pass on some recent compliments received:

Avril Kirby undertook site visits with Fiona Dean, the newly appointed Director of Leisure and Rebecca Towers. They were impressed by the standards on the sites so congratulations to all the teams.

Garry and Marvan at Camberwell Old cemetery have been thanked by Steve George and his team for all their help when large numbers of vehicles have been on site for funerals.

TK has received excellent feedback from funeral directors for his work as a chapel attendant, being smart and professional.
      C. Edwards, Southwark Council - April 2016
    • I am a regular Southwark Park dog walker and I wanted to say how delightful and wonderful the park is an workers are. They're very polite and always welcoming with a continually smiling face. The grass is always cut perfectly, as per this photo. Without a doubt the most beautiful, if not the best, in London.

Well done to all, please keep up the good work.

      A. Foskett - April 2016
    • Just wanted to say a big thank you and well done to Jason and Carlos at the BMX track. My son has attended a few sessions now and he is over the moon.

It's absolutely lovely to see when their personalities and good approach to training is making such a positive and inspiring influence on children.

Booking sessions is made easy by lovely and friendly members of staff.

Once again, thank you, and keep up the great job you are doing.

      D. Kelpsa - April 2016

      T. Laattala - April 2016
    • Thank you and your team so much for supplying and delivering the willow [for our willow workshop on Easter Sunday]; couldn't have done it without you.
      J. Morgan - March 2016
    • I would be extremely grateful if you could pass on my congratulations to Paul, Lynne and all of the staff for the continuous high standard of maintenance being performed in Southwark Park Operational Area.
      A. Chatterton, Southwark Park Area Contracts & Service Manager, Southwark Council - March 2016
    • I have just carried out an inspection of Dulwich Park and wanted to let you know that the team has made vast improvements to all areas previously raised as a concern.

In particular I wanted to pass on my thanks to Mered who has, over the past two weeks, achieved some great work, especially the edging along Snakes Lane.
Paul Highman, Dulwich Area Contracts & Services Manager, Southwark Council - February 2016
    • Capel Manor College has worked with Quadron Services for over eight years and has delivered training to many of their apprentices.

Quadron value their staff and invest highly in their development as landscape maintenance operatives. The knowledge, skills and hard work of their staff is evident in the presentation of Southwark's parks, which are consistently presented to a high standard.
      A. Chamberlain, Horticulture Apprenticeship Team Leader, Capel Manor College - February 2016
    • Some feedback from the Friends of Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park meeting that we attended this week. Everyone was extremely positive about Tom and his team. They asked us to pass on their thanks, so please tell the team that their work is much appreciated.
      N. Cheetham, Contracts & Services Officer, Southwark Council - January 2016
    • Well done to you and all the team for hitting 95%; it's a busy time of year so it is great to see this step up in performance over the past month.

I think the placement guys also deserve a thank you I know some of the guys have been working here for quite some time, which is excellent, and their contribution is a big help.

      L. Wilcox, Southwark Council [refers to 95% inspection score for Burgess Park for October] - November 2015
    • I just wanted to say a big thank you to Natalie Meredith for the assistance she gave yesterday, Thursday 15th October 2015.

Just before Quadron was ready to go home, my office received a report from a park visitor that there was an injured pigeon in the children's play area. I personally attended the scene because the park attendant was on his break. I discovered a pigeon with a major wound sustained apparently from an attack by another bird. I attempted to secure the bird, but was having difficulty; I had it trapped but not fully secured. I went to the Quadron depot in search of some additional materials to secure the bird and, without me even asking, Natalie kindly volunteered to help, even though she was obviously just about ready to go home for the day. Natalie came back to the scene with me, took the lead in capturing the bird, we caught it and took it to the local vet and left it in their care.

The bird's injury was truly horrific, which I had problems stomaching as I attempted to catch it on my own, but Natalie came up, stepped in and got the job done and did it in as much of a sensitive and caring way as she could manage. It was my decision not to call the RSPCA because of the time it would have taken and this was a real emergency for the bird.

Please pass on my thanks to Natalie and tell her well done for her effort.
R Roach, Contracts & Services Officer ‚?? Dulwich Area, Southwark Council - October 2015
    • Just wanted to let you know that the UAL Library Services group had a great afternoon out with their trip to Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park and the fantastic tour from Tom [GMH Head Gardener] last Friday. Some people who have worked nearby at LCC or live in the area for years had no idea about the parks history or its wealth of gardens, and many of our staff will be sure to visit again on their own.
      A. Rasch on behalf of University of the Arts London Library Services - October 2015
    • I cycle past the flower garden area of Burgess Park in the South East part [St Georges Garden]. The planting here is fantastic. Please pass on my congratulations to the designers and the gardeners. It's a triumph and brightens my day in the morning and evening.

Well done to all involved. I hope this planting remains for as long as possible.

      D. Robertson - September 2015
    • We would like to pass on our thanks to Parks for such a great job clearing up before the event despite our worries, we had no unexpected surprises and, after a rather last minute rush of people, by 6pm we had raked the entire meadow and built our biggest haystack yet!
      L. Miller, Secretary, Friends of Nursery Row Park - September 2015
    • Aaron [Southwark Park apprentice] was a star on Saturday. He worked really hard with all of the young people and worked an extra two hours on top of his normal shift.
      A. Pita, Southwark Council, refers to Network Challenge Day event - September 2015
    • Forgot to mention earlier how helpful Paul was at Nunhead [Cemetery]. After my visit yesterday, he strimmed around the East Lodge so that it would be easier to walk around today. I never asked him to do this he just did it, which was really helpful. I have thanked him but just wanted to pass on my thanks more formally.
      S. Lomas, Parks Service Development Officer, Environment & Leisure, Southwark Council - September 2015
    • Once again, your team has really excelled themselves. Very professional, really supportive of the volunteers, went out of their way to help the volunteers and were a joy to work with. I am so pleased to have now met almost all of the head gardeners from Quadron's Southwark contract and each one is a credit to the Quadron organisation.
Jon Meech, CEO Hands on London - September 2015
    • You should be very proud of your workforce at Leathermarket Gardens; yet again they have done a wonderful job!
      Mr J. Cooke - July 2015
    • I write to place on record our thanks for Quadron's continuing sponsorship of the hanging baskets in Southwark Park. They are very much appreciated by our many visitors and have become a favourite feature.

I would also like to take the opportunity to say how grateful we are for the care given by your staff to the maintenance of the park and also how helpful they have been in supporting our summer programme of activities.
Pat Kingwell, Secretary, Friends of Southwark Park - July 2015
    • Yesterday I took my children to Dulwich Park, and lost my mobile phone while there.

I just wanted to thank Roger the Park attendant, and Owen who where really helpful. Owen gave me his mobile so I could ring my phone, and spoke to the person who found it. I now have my mobile phone back, and it is all down to the help of both those guys, I am so glad that they are around even on a Sunday. I know for certain that if you have any problems at that park the attendants are more than happy to help.

      Please thank them again.
      Mrs Davidson - July 2015
    • I just wanted to extend my thanks to Roger, the park attendant at Dulwich Park.

I was at the park last Sunday and my car battery died. I had no jump leads and discovered, after asking just about everyone that passed by, that no one else did either!

Fortunately Roger had the bright idea to go and ask the guests attending a party at the park's hall. Luckily one gentleman had jump leads and he, and his friend, left the festivities to come outside and rescue me and my sleeping toddler daughter.

Just wanted you to know that you have a lovely employee and that I appreciated his help.
      E. Dyer - July 2015
    • Thank you and your team for all the help and support that you gave us on our memorial day service and the lead up to it. Not only helping setting up and packing up, but also guiding the visitors and helping them to seats, etc.

I personally received many compliments on the ground from many of the congregation and was told many times how wonderful it looked, and one lady told me it now looked loved and cared for, and she was glad her husband was laid to rest in beautiful surroundings.

I had a walk around the grounds of the crematorium last week and you can clearly see the changes that have taken place. The private gardens and pond area look stunning and a credit to you all.

When I arrived yesterday looking up the drive and all the activity, one it proves that we are a great partnership and how we work well together and, two, it looked amazing with the planters painted and all the new plants, rose beds and trees.

Please pass on my thanks to your team and can I book you all in for next year please.
Helen Doherty, Cemeteries and Crematorium Registrar, Camberwell New Cemetery - June 2015
    • I've just done a recce of Nunhead Cemetery for tonight's bat walk... The site is looking absolutely splendid just now, the grasslands are brimming with life.
Daniel Greenwood, Conservation Project Officer, London Wildlife Trust - June 2015
    • I would just like to pass on how impressed I have been with Paul, the apprentice in Peckham Rye Park.

There was a large volunteer session on Friday that Sissel [Quadron head Gardener] and Paul helped co-ordinate the work for. The representative for the volunteering company stopped me at the end to say how impressed he was with both of them, but he picked out Paul in particular as having a terrific attitude for a young apprentice. I'd like to echo that. Paul has been keen, polite, eager to learn and seems able to pick up what is required very quickly. I have been particularly impressed with his general disposition which is always very positive, just the type of attitude that is required in a public park where customer service can be as important as horticultural excellence.

Paul is definitely a real credit to Quadron and Peckham Rye Park is benefitting greatly for having him in the team.
Will Walpole, Area Contracts and Services Manager, Southwark Council - May 2015
    • I recently (15/05/2015) completed a volunteering day at Peckham Rye Park. The day was organised by my organisation, JLL, and it was received well by all.

I would like to make a special mention to one of your employees (Paul - Apprentice - I think he has been with your organisation for 2 months). I speak for everyone in my team in saying that he was fantastic, patient and, for a person who has just started, very knowledgeable.

I would once again like to express my gratitude to Paul and the remainder of the Quadron team that day.

      A. Cousins - JLL - May 2015
    • I have just returned home to Scotland after a two week holiday with a friend who lives in Southwark and I want to pass on to you just how impressed I was with how well maintained and beautiful your green areas are. I did not visit them all, but spent time exploring all of Peckham Rye, Dulwich Park and Sydenham Hill Wood. I thought they were all, in their own way, delightful, with their own personalities, tamed and wild, and welcome oases in the hubbub of London... Your parks are a credit to you and it was obvious to me just how much thought and work has gone into them and continues to go in. Please pass on to your workforce how well they are doing and how beautiful are the areas they are helping to create. You should all be proud.

      H. Wood (received via Southwark Council) - May 2015
    • Many, many thanks to everyone at the Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Parks team, who contributed to a very successful event on Saturday [Soviet War Memorial Ceremony on 9 May 2015]

      R. Gibson - May 2015
    • I wanted to thank everyone who has been involved with making Peckham Rye look so fantastic this spring.  My wife and I walk there every weekend and we cannot remember it looking so colourful and well maintained. It looks like a great deal of effort and pride has gone into the planting and tidying etc.

Please could you let everyone concerned know that their work is greatly appreciated by everyone who uses the park.  I take my hat off to you!
      G. Parsons - April 2015
    • As we are now grandparents, we have taken to buggy pushing around Peckham Rye Park and would just like to pass on to you and the team how good the park is looking. Well done all.
      D. Barrett - April 2015
    • I am writing to express sincere thanks for the work which Tom Edwards and his team carried out today in heavily pruning and removing a significant amount of ivy and other foliage attached to the old Bethlem hospital wall and fencing at our house in Harmsworth Mews, whilst leaving in place some wisteria which was not threatening the wall.

Their work builds upon work they carried out last week to control the ivy growing on the park side of the wall and will help materially to protect the wall and keep it in the best possible condition for the future.  Additionally, Toms team left my property in excellent condition, removing all waste. Tom is clearly a very reliable and trustworthy leader of the team, arriving early for meetings which we agreed in advance and delivering work of a very high standard.

I also think the team does a remarkable job in keeping Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park in such an excellent condition throughout the seasons, especially given that the park receives several million visitors each year and is open to the public 24/7 all year round.
      J. Berry - April 2015
    • I am writing to you to pass on the absolute gratefulness myself and the team at the South East London Giants have towards Ben Whittam and the Quadron Services team down at Peckham Rye Common.

Be it in storing the goal posts on site throughout the off season, communication about the damaged goal posts, and the fantastic job in which the football oval is prepared week in, week out throughout the summer, Ben's team's overwhelming professionalism shown with the line marking and cropped mowing would see their work put up with the likes of those who tend to major stadiums across the Premier League.

Please pass on my gratitude to Ben and his team, for if it wasnt for blokes like him we would not have the best park to play on in London with the most professional pitch I have ever seen.
Guy McGrath, South East London Giants Head Coach - April 2015
    • Just a quick email to compliment you on this wonderful space [Southwark Park]. It is a fantastic place for locals and those working in the locality to relax, linger or exercise.

The flower displays are particularly special at the moment.
      T. Somerville - April 2015
    • Can you thank Damon and all the teams in the cemeteries for me, please?

The grass cutting throughout the cemeteries has been excellent.  I think your teams are now working through their second cut at the moment.  In many incidents the grass looks like it has been boxed not strimmed, only a few cut leaves give it away.

A couple of areas have not been cut due to the ground being too wet to cut, which is the correct thing to do.

Also, can you thank Damon for all the help he has given us, particularly at Camberwell Old Cemetery.  You are probably aware we have a lot of development works going on at the moment and Damon has really helped us out in making it run as smoothly as possible.
Mark Thompson, Southwark Council - March 2015
    • I have just e-mailed to say how lovely Southwark Park is now looking with all the new flowers coming into bloom. I spoke to one of your gardeners this morning and said how much their hard work was blossoming, it is a joy to walk through every weekday morning on our way to school.

I know this may be unusual, but well done to everyone.
      B. Weston - March 2015
    • I am writing to confirm what truly outstanding work Andy and Paul [Quadron Cemetery Operatives] are doing at Nunhead Cemetery.

When we went to the family grave yesterday we were so appreciative of the way the entire area around the grave had been maintained.  The area is clear of any brambles and no graves are now overgrown in that area.

Andy and Paul, as was the case last year, very kindly opened the Linden Grove entrance gate for us yesterday so that we could drive towards the old chapel at the top of the hill, which is close to the grave that we visit.

My mother, wife and I very much appreciate the help that Andy and Paul give us when we visit the cemetery in terms of opening the gate for us and we very much appreciate the exceedingly hard work that has obviously gone into the clearing of the area concerned, and its ongoing maintenance.  They have done a truly outstanding job.

Kindly pass on our thanks to them.  Andy and Paul clearly take a great pride in their work and I just wanted you to know how much we appreciate their considerable efforts and hard work. They are brilliant.
The Longhurst Family - December 2014
    • Can you please pass on our thanks to all team members who have recently carried out memorial plantings with families?  They have all been extremely courteous and sensitive.  They have offered help and answered any questions applicants have had  and we have been very impressed with the way they have conducted themselves.  We feel it is an important services to be able to offer families and it shows that the staff take pride in their work.

I know Jason, Greg and Terry at Camberwell Old and Mary and Lisa at the Crematorium have all been involved in this recently.  I also know all the team are great at dealing with the public in an environment which needs a very high level of customer care and sensitivity, so please pass on our thanks.
      C. Edwards, Southwark Council - December 2014
    • Can you thank everyone involved for the fantastic work completed on the day [clearance of the lanes at the Old Cemetery, 21-11-14].  This is just the sort of project we love Quadron to be involved in.

The difference in the rides afterwards is impressive and I am sure the public are grateful for all the team's hard work. This not only makes the area look managed, but also makes the cemetery feel safer to walk around.

This is the second project your teams has completed in the space of a couple of months.  It is great to see Quadron pulling all the stops out for Southwark.  This is also useful for all the individual team members in expanding their [NVQ 2] portfolios.

Once again can you thank everyone involved on Friday, and keep up the good work.

The team at work clearing the lanes
Mark Thompson, Southwark Council - November 2014
    • Please could you pass on my thanks to everyone at Burgess Park who kindly looked after me on my 'Back to  the Floor' day on Thursday.   I met so many people that I know I will have missed people out, but thanks go to Terry, Kevon, John, David, Oliver, Alistair and Duwayne and everyone else whom I met.  They all made my day extremely enjoyable and were very patient with their intern for the day.  I was also hugely impressed with the dedication and hard work of everyone I met: the park was looking great and every bit of it was being well used, with a wonderful atmosphere, so the teams were clearly doing a great job.
Deborah Collins, Strategic Director - Environment & Leisure, London Borough of Southwark - November 2014
    • Just wanted to say thank you for supporting our event on 18th October at Leyton Square.  You all did a professional job and enabled the event to flow well.
      R. Shah, Senior Community Project Officer, Groundwork London - October 2014
    • I am writing to congratulate you and your team of gardeners at Burgess Park, who have done such a fantastic job of shepherding the prairie and woodland sowings in St. Georges Gardens.  I know from personal experience how keeping the vegetation weed free in the first year can truly be a soul-destroying experience.  Your team have however hung in there and done a great job, and in doing so guaranteed that the sowings will be very special indeed when flowering in 2015. In due course they will be besieged by the public and the media! I hope they are prepared for this!
Please pass on my personal thanks to your staff for a difficult job well done.
Professor James Hitchmough, Head of Landscape Dept. University of Sheffield - October 2014
    • On behalf of my husband, myself and my son, I would like to thank you very much for the splendid job you do to maintain our local parks (Tanner Street Park, Leathermarket Gardens and St Marys Church Gardens).  We enjoy all these parks almost on a daily basis and they greatly enhance our quality of life here in SE1.

      R Pillai - September 2014
    • Please can you pass on my appreciation of the beautifully kept park, Leathermarket Gardens.

I pass through this park visiting my daughters in Bermondsey Street.  It is always a delight, without a speck of litter and so well maintained.

I realise a lot of work is involved keeping such high standards, please give the team who look after the park my sincere thanks.
      S. Lewis - September 2014
    • I would just like to say a big 'Thank You' to all the people who work so hard to maintain Leathermarket Gardens as well as the other open spaces in this area.

Every year the Gardens look better and it is wonderful to have such a facility on my doorstep (particularly as I do not have an outside area).

The Team is made up of some very pleasant people and I always say 'Hi' when I am passing through and we occasionally have chat.

      Well done, Green Team!
      P. Wood - September 2014
    • I wanted to drop you a line to say how much I appreciated the actions and attitude of the team at Peckham Rye in the gardeners' depot/yard.

Adam particularly, with Greg one of the team and Ben in the hut/office, were all incredibly helpful and understanding after finding my motorbike abandoned in the long grass, having been stolen some days earlier.

Adam helped me load it into a van and, after a weekend at the garage, I'm already back riding.

      Those guys do you credit.
      D. Colchester - September 2014
    • Just wanted to thank you all for your efforts today, the event has been extremely successful and everyone has worked really positively.  Well done!
      L. Wilcox, Southwark Council, regarding the Elephant and Nun Festival - August 2014
    • Thank you so much for sorting this out for us [Elba Place Pond]!  The team were there yesterday and again this morning and we have a happy pond again now!

Please thank them from me and the newts and the school community when the children return very efficient, very courteous, very effective.
      C. Cronin - August 2014
    • The contract performance is 96%, please can you pass on our appreciation to all staff for the high maintenance currently being undertaken, especially in Southwark Park.

We are exceptionally pleased with Kieron in his new role as Static Team Leader.

Andy Chatterton, Southwark Park Area Contracts & Service Manager, Southwark Council - August 2014
    • Just a quick note to let you know I have found my wedding ring.  Many thanks to all of you.  I attended Tabard Gardens this morning and was assisted by a fabulous park attendant, who kindly helped look for the ring and in fact found it for me.  Very much above and beyond the call of duty.  I am sorry to say that I did not catch his name please pass on my thanks to him.  Everyone I spoke to this morning was extremely helpful, and I am very grateful indeed for your kind efforts.
      T.D. Local resident - July 2014
    • I and the rest of the "Friends" would like to say a big thank you to you and the guys on the ground for their efforts towards our fair last weekend.  Believe it or not, even with the rain we had to chase visitors off the park at 6 to tidy up.  We seem to have become a highlight of the year in the park for the locals and, funding permitting, we will be back next year.
      D. Barrett, Friends of Brimmington Park, following their Summer Fair - July 2014
    • Went for a walk this morning with the Missus and the dog and passed through Bermondsey Spa Gardens, seeing your new perennial beds.

Dont know how many notes of appreciation you get, probably fewer than you deserve. So, me, the Missus and the dog decided to take the time to send you this email to express our sincere thanks to you and your team (whoever they may be) for the good work you're doing.

      Keep it up.

The Finlay family - May 2014
    • I write on behalf of the Friends of Southwark Park to thank Quadron for your continuing sponsorship of the hanging baskets in Southwark Park.  Your generous support means a lot to us and also to the many users of the park who frequently comment on what a pleasant feature they are.  They make a real difference.

I will also take the opportunity to say how often at our meetings positive comments are made on the maintenance of Southwark Park.  Our members are particularly pleased with the Ada Salter Garden and the main carriageway beds, where it is obvious that your staff take great pride in their work for the benefit of visitors.

The Ada Salter Garden in Southwark Park

      Pat Kingwell - May 2014
    • Every morning I walk with friends in Peckham Rye Park and enjoy the wonders therein.  Recently, though, we have been more overjoyed by seeing the amazing multi-coloured, multi-layered spring bulb planting on the right-hand side of the circular garden as you enter the formal gardens from the Rye.

Whoever planned and designed the plantings deserves real appreciation and thanks from us all.  It is a delight and an inspiration.

Thanks again to your department and all who work in the parks.

[The plantings were designed by Rob May, the Peckham Park Head Gardener, and planted by Charlie Tait and Rob, the apprentice.]

      R. Pyke - April 2014
    • Please pass on our thanks to the team at Camberwell New Cemetery for their assistance today.  We had a funeral in this afternoon which needed sensitive management and Damon and the team were extremely helpful.  They assisted with traffic management, gate closures and dealt sensitively with those attending as well as other visitors to the cemetery.

With their assistance the funeral went very smoothly.

Once again many thanks to the guys.
      C. Edwards, Southwark Council - April 2014
    • Could you thank all the team for all their hard work in the crematorium.

Tom and Steve have really started to turn the place around and the improvements can be seen all over the site.

The rose bed reductions in the lower lawn area are looking fantastic, also the new planting and the pruning are text book quality.

The training Tom has received has started to show real dividends for us all.

The general standard throughout all of our sites has improved, and all the teams have had a great start to the cutting season.

      Keep up the good work.
Mark Thompson, Southwark Council - March 2014
    • Please pass on my thanks to the whole team; Southwark Park looked really good yesterday when we had the visit from the leader of the council.  Peter John and the rest of the staff commented on how wonderful the park looked and it was a pleasure to spend time in such a relaxing well-kept place.

Well done everyone.  Lynne, thank you for meeting with them and explaining about the plants in the rose garden, which was very helpful and welcome by everyone.
Andrea Pita, Contract & Service Officer, Southwark Area - March 2014
    • I just wanted to congratulate the team on their recent work.  We have been very impressed with the standard of work and the overall upbeat attitude of the team.

A regular visitor came into reception this week.  He told staff that in 40 years of coming to the cemetery this was the best he had seen it.

The grounds maintenance team are a huge part of the improvements we are making, so please pass on our thanks to the team for all their hard work.
Candy Edwards, Southwark Council - March 2014
    • Many congratulations to the Quadron team who do an impeccable job in maintaining the Burgess Park grounds.  The hard work of the team has contributed to the success of the park since its recent regeneration including our recent Green Flag Award win.
Cllr Barrie Hargrove, Cabinet Member for Transport, environment and recycling, London Borough of Southwark regarding the BALI Award for Burgess Park - December 2013
    • Just a quick note to say thank you to you and your wonderful team for all the beautiful planting you've undertaken.  In particular, Chumleigh Gardens looks stunningly beautiful with all the lovely colours but I also love the planting by Wells Way.  That area had nothing but shabby grass before and now it's awash with colours.

The planting was mentioned at last night's Friends of Burgess Park meeting and everyone agreed it looks awesome!  Youre all very talented!

Emily, Friends of Burgess Park - September 2013
    • I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff that I see working in Burgess Park every morning as I cycle through.

Everything looks amazing and the new garden bit that I see people working so hard on is starting to look great.  I love the cherry trees and all the edible trees that have been planted.  It's a pleasure to cycle through this space.
      G. Dickenson - August 2013
    • We would like to thank the mobile QSL team and Joe for their hard work in the outside sites and specifically for their achievements at Brimmington Park on the Green Flag day on the 6th June.  The park looked fantastic and we received very positive comments from the judges.  The Brimmington Park Friends have recently emailed me to ask for their thanks to be passed on to the QSL team for keeping the park looking so good.

We would specifically like to thank Rob for his improvements at Peckham Rye and area sites.  His achievements include outstanding planting of the oval beds and planting schemes at Sumner and Brimmington.  While it is not strictly within Robs remit to work on area sites, he does this willingly, often giving up his own time to research planting schemes, and we appreciate his dedication.
      R. Thornton, Contract & Services Manager - July 2013
    • I'm a local resident who uses Southwark Park a great deal.

I just wanted to say how glorious the Ada Salter garden is at present.  The earth was bare a month ago, now it is a riot of colour and green, carefully chosen plants and harmonising colour schemes.

I know that Lynne, who I've found approachable, friendly and a mine of information, works very hard and with great passion to improve our local amenity.  I, for one, am immensely grateful, to her and her co-workers, for making this a lovely oasis of calm and beauty within a carefully maintained and much appreciated local park.

      C. Lucas - June 2013
    • Wanted to say a huge big thank you for all your hard work leading up to and on the day.  Please pass on my thanks to Graham and all the rest of QSL who worked on Belair, they really pushed that extra mile to get the park to a high standard.  I have already received verbal comments from MOPs saying the park looks fantastic.  Even when walking around with the judges three ladies were commenting on how great the park looked to each other.

      Once again, many thanks.
      P. Highman, Contract & Services Manager, Southwark Council, regarding Green Flag preparations - June 2013
    • To say that the [Green Flag] judging of Brimmington went well this morning would be an understatement the judges could not have been more enthusiastic and given more positive comments.

David from the Friends attended and was really positive and showed the judges photos of the community events.

Please pass on my thanks and their comments to the Quadron team, including Rob. They said the park was a real credit to you all and they loved the newly planted bed at Old Kent Road, which was Robs design.

Thanks you to everyone that helped achieve this.
      R. Thornton, Contract & Services Manager, Southwark - June 2013
    • Hello Terry

We wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your contribution to the the Friends of Burgess Park May Fair this year.

The fencing for the balloon was completely successful and it was great to have the team including Kevon on site during the day. They nipped over with the fencing and truck when required and they helped to shift some other fencing later in the day when we were trying to move it piece by piece for which we were extremely grateful.

The park looked really great on the day and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying the space during the May Fair and afterwards.

Thanks so much for Quadron's support. Your contribution and your team were vital in enabling us to put on the event.

      Kindest regards

      Catriona Sinclair
      Friends of Burgess Park
Catriona Sinclair - Friends of Burgess Park - May 2013
    • I am one of the dog walkers whom come to your meetings.  I must praise the two young gardeners who came to the aid of a young Jack Russell dog.  It had got into the sports centre under one of the old containers.  It took them over an hour but they got her out.  They would not give up, they dug her free and gave her back to her owner.  I cant praise these young men enough.  Please tell them a great big thank you from me and her owner as they did not have to do this.

      J. Moore - May 2013
    • Thanks for all your support.  The park was a credit to you all.  The attention to detail by Sam and everyone else on the day meant the whole space looked fantastic in the sunshine!
Hon. Secretary, Soviet Memorial Trust Fund (referring to Geraldine Mary Harmsworth static team) - May 2013
    • I walk my spaniel in Dulwich Park every day and would be grateful if you would pass on my sincere thanks to your staff who work so hard to keep it looking lovely.  It is particularly striking at the moment as the rhododendrons are just coming out and the tress are full (belatedly) of blossom but Ive noticed over the past few weeks that a lot of more routine maintenance has been going on trimming back the copse and preparing the borders in the American garden.

Everyone I speak to in the park comments on how wonderful it looks and I'm sure the people who ensure it stays that way would appreciate being told too!
      L. Buckle - May 2013
    • Having enjoyed Kings Stairs Gardens in the spring sunshine this morning, I thought I ought to write to congratulate your Parks Team on all their hard work over recent weeks getting the park ready for Easter, a splendid job.

We especially welcomed the clearance of the undergrowth from under the bushes in the central area.  This has always been a 'lurkers' paradise and a major safety hazard, especially at night.  Now one can walk around the area and have good sight lines in all directions.  This is a tremendous safety improvement and a long-awaited piece of work.  Well done to all concerned.
      Mr. R. Squires - April 2013
    • I am very impressed by the standard of work of the Quadron gardening team in Dulwich Park.  The gardens are very attractive and beautifully maintained.  They are a real joy.

I have said this to the team there and wish to share my appreciation with the company.
      Mr. R. Woodrow - March 2013
    • As a regular visitor to Dulwich Park I would like to commend the hard work of all the maintenance and ground staff there.

I am a local parent and dog owner and walk in the park almost every day throughout the year.  No matter what the weather, the staff are always there early in the morning making sure that the park is clean and well maintained for the enjoyment of the local community.  They are helpful and friendly and make the park a more pleasant place to be.  They also add to a sense of safety, particularly on dark winter mornings.

I would ask that you pass on my gratitude, which I know is shared by a large number of park users.
      T. Lowe - March 2013
    • Yesterday I had a walk round the park with members of the public and they could not stop saying how lovely the park was looking.

It's not only Southwark Park, all of the mobile sites are also looking really good.

Big thanks to the whole team, our area has never looked better.
      A. Pita - March 2013
    • I thought I must drop you a line about Southwark Park.

Many members of the public are telling me daily how great the park is looking.

I have also seen that the park looks so good.  Would you pass on to your team how hard they have all worked to make the park look so wonderful?  I believe that this helps my job because people pay more respect to the park when it is looking so great.  Today I could not see and litter and everyone I saw from Quadron was working so hard planting, cutting edges, emptying bins and gardening.

Thanks again to Kenny, Paul, Lynne and everyone in the Quadron team.
      J. Reid, Park Liaison Officer, Southwark Council - March 2013
    • I wanted to write to tell you what a great job I thought the Quadron team in Dulwich Park were doing.  They are very friendly and do a great job of keeping everything looking beautiful.
      Mrs Jarrett - February 2013
    • The event which I led on behalf of Groundwork was a great success! I met your operative on Friday and he did a great job of cleaning the grass where the raised beds for vegetable growing were built.
      C. Wright, Groundwork London - February 2013
    • Many thanks to your team for the use of your FIDO machine for free, which was very useful in clearing the site before the event on Friday.

      A. Timeyin - February 2013
    • I just want to say what a great job your Quadron squad do in Dulwich Park, especially Howard, who is always smiling and welcoming to everyone whilst working!

It is the most beautifully maintained park and gives much pleasure to everyone on a daily basis.  Well done!
      S. Bray - February 2013
    • What a fantastic team you have at Dulwich Park, the gardens are very well kept and maintained.  The "picker uppers" do a wonderful job in all weathers and post-weekend debris!  The staff are extremely courteous and friendly.  I walk my two dogs there every day and it is a great pleasure to do so.
      Mr. D. Foster - January 2013
    • I would just like to commend your team at Dulwich Park who keep the park looking lovely and always do it with a smile!

They are a great team and I just wanted to show my appreciation of their good work.
      T. Rea, Southwark resident - January 2013
    • I would like to compliment the wonderful team that look after Dulwich Park.  I have a new baby and go to the park most days.  I often see the hard working team who make Dulwich Park a wonderful place to be in.

      Many thanks.
      R. Nash - January 2013
    • Just a quick thank you to the group of gardeners who are constantly working in these weather conditions in Southwark Park.  The park is a wonder.  I am a regular dog walker and I continuously see each member of staff working and always am greeted with a smile.  A great bunch and a proud team to Quadron and Southwark Council.
      J. Arif - December 2012
    • Big thumbs up to the Quadron team in Dulwich Park who do a fantastic job working in all weather conditions clearing pathways, leaves etc and in general ensuring the area is tidy and attractive to visitors. 10 out of 10 for all their efforts.
      Mr. V. Oliver - November 2012
    • I just wanted to register with you my appreciation of the work put in by the Quadron workers in Dulwich Park.

I use the Park everyday through the year - walking my dog and see the workers doing their various tasks. They are always hard working and keep the Park in excellent condition.

I sometimes complement them on their work - for example they covered over the muddy and wet paths with wood bark to enable the paths to be used through the wet weather.

There is one guy whose name I do not know - who is Jamaican - who is always cheery and hard working and always gives me a greeting every day - who I would like to single out for praise.
      T. Barry - November 2012
    • We would like to say thank you to your staff in Dulwich Park.  They, in particular Howard, are always friendly and courteous.  No matter what the season is the park is always beautifully kept.
      P. Shedden - November 2012
    • As promised, I have checked the Monkey Park and it is absolutely perfect.  Everything has been cleared and your team have done a wonderful job for us.

Thanks to you and your excellent team, Nina, we now have a garden that is much less cause for concern, as well as clear and clean.  Your team has also cut away masses of vegetation in the bed the other side of the Monkey Park gate.
L Tilbury (via N. Chantry at Southwark Council) - November 2012
    • I would like to say a huge thank you to you and Ric for the support I have received over my project in Dulwich Park.

Ric has gone out of his way to keep me regularly supplied with green waste through the artwork making period. He has been unfailingly courteous and supportive which I have really appreciated. It would have been very difficult for me to have made the sculpture without his input. It was very important to me that this particular artwork was made from leaves and twigs from Dulwich Park.

      Once again, very many thanks.

      A. Wright - October 2012
    • As a regular dog walker in both Dulwich and Peckham Parks, I just wanted to say how much I have been enjoying these beautiful parks. The formal garden in Peckham in particular has been a delight to visit each day to see the changes taking place.  Dulwich park has been beautifully kept by your team and we have really enjoyed both the formal beds and the wilder, off beat areas.

Please say a big thank you to your teams involved for all their hard work.

      J. Turvil - October 2012
    • Just wanted to say what a good job your people are doing in Dulwich Park.  In particular we see Howard out in all weathers, he always has a smile and is always busy.  The park looks great and feels safe, too.

Thanks and keep up the good work.
      B. Hayward - October 2012
    • I frequently use Spa Gardens. I walk to and from there for work and also take my dogs there of an evening and I would love to say how it is such a wonderful pretty garden and such a clean and relaxing place to be.

The beds are very well kept and the way the grass is striped gives this park an amazing look.  I would like you to pass on this message just as a thank you to the groundsmen who keep this looking so well and clean and pretty. It's a joy to walk in such a pleasant environment.
      G. Baker - October 2012
    • I would like to thank and congratulate all concerned for keeping and maintaining such a lovely park [Leathermarket Gardens].  I moved to a flat in Tyers Gate last year and have absolutely enjoyed the park in all seasons.
      P. Lau - October 2012
    • Please could you pass on my thanks to all the team that helped clear the site after the travellers were evicted.  They all did a great job considering what was left.  I received some very positive feedback from residents on the clear up.

It was a pleasure to work with Quadron.
      P. Highman, Dulwich Area Contracts & Services Manager - August 2012
    • I was walking in Dulwich Park today and wanted to compliment the Quadron team on their work in making the park look so good. They do a great job and were polite and friendly when I spoke with them today.

I really appreciate the beauty of Dulwich park as a local green space so Thank you to your gardeners for their hard work.
      J. Hamilton - August 2012
    • I would like to say a big, big thank you for the regular upkeep and beautiful gardening works at St James church in Bermondsey.

I am a regular dog walker and it is so pleasant to see friendly Quadron staff smiling away and talking amongst the public. Also, regarding plant names, its great to finally be able to talk to people who know their job and who seem to care regarding their work.

Many thanks on your hard work guys! The church and its surroundings is a wonder.
      P. Woulding, MBE - August 2012
    • I just wanted to mention that last Sunday I led a walk entitled 'Surrey Docks: Hidden Woods & Waterways'. We had 68 participants and we stopped for a picnic lunch in Ada Salter's Garden.

The feedback I received was tremendous. The sheer beauty of the garden and the thought put into its planting simply took the walkers' breath away. Indeed, I had to extend the lunch break by another ten minutes as they were all still enjoying it so much! Although some of those on the walk had come from further afield, many were south-east Londoners, and I repeatedly received (and overheard) comments along the lines of "I had no idea that Southwark Park was as beautiful as this!" and "I will definitely be back!" Very satisfying, as this was one of the main drivers behind my including the Garden on this walk... what a wonderful impression it leaves on visitors and locals alike.
      M. Daniels, Chairman, Rotherhithe & Bermondsey Local History Society - August 2012
    • I would like to compliment the staff who look after Dulwich Park.  It is a joy to walk around and your staff are always friendly and courteous.
      Mrs F Aitchison - June 2012
    • I'd like to say a huge Thank You to the team at GMH Park.  They have all worked very hard in preparation for today's Green Flag judging and the park looked fantastic. Johann particularly has worked extremely hard, his energy and commitment to get the park looking its best was invaluable.
      S. Lomas, Area Contract & Service Manager - Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park - June 2012
    • I am writing to thank the Green Team for the excellent care and upkeep of Leathermarket Gardens, once again.
Each year they look better and better; it really is a joy to be able to sit outside in such lovely surroundings - particularly for those, like me, without a balcony or terrace.
They are all very pleasant people, too, and have enthusiasm for their work.
      Thank you!
      Mr. Wood - June 2012
    • We would also like to thank Dennis & Michael for their hard work on the Open Day at Nunhead Cemetery. They were excellent at talking to the public about the work Quadron do, and the cemetery.

It was a really busy day, and a very popular event so thanks for having the Quadron team represented.

      C. Edwards - May 2012
    • The preparation for the day was fantastic and Johan and his team performed miracles at and around the Memorial!

      R. Gibson, Hon. Secretary, Soviet Memorial Trust Fund - May 2012
    • I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for the brilliant work you guys do.
I walk my dog in Dulwich park every day and no matter what the weather I see you at work and you are all so friendly and cheerful it always brightens my day to see you keeping the park looking so great and chatting with you.
      A. Philips - May 2012
    • Dear Nunhead Cemetery Staff, Just wanted to say how wonderful it is to see all the great wok you have done clearing the overgrown areas.  It is interesting to see all the historical areas previously lost to the brambles and trees and undergrowth.

      Keep up the good work.
      Anon. - April 2012
    • I regularly walk my dog around Spa Gardens and would like to say a big thank you for how wonderful this beautiful place looks, I haven't seen it looking as good as it does now. I've been going to this park for 6 years or so and to see it being maintained as it is is fantastic.

Well done Quadron staff and long may it continue, your hard work does get recognized.

Local park user - March 2012
    • Just a quick note to thank you and all your staff for the excellent job this morning.  I think the matting helped to organise the attendees and the weather played its part. part. But the attention your staff paid in terms of preparing the ground and Memorials was duly noted.

      Once again, many thanks.
Hon. Secretary of Soviet Memorial Trust Fund regarding the Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth - March 2012
    • Can you please pass on our thanks to the Quadron member of staff [Joe Ogunbiyi Peckham Area Supervisor] who gained access to the changing rooms in Peckham Rye to turn off the water leak today, the leak was quite bad and flooded the changing room, so Thanks for avoiding a lot of mess!

Area Contracts & Service Manager - Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park - February 2012
    • I would just like to say that your team in Nunhead Cemetery are doing a very good job. Not only do they make it look nice but they always say hello to me on my daily walk.
      Keep up the good work.
      Local resident - December 2011
    • I would like to start by congratulating your three members of staff for the excellent work they have done in transforming Leathermarket Gardens.

I have used this park for many years and over the recent months I have seen this delightful park turn into something beautiful.

Your two gardeners have done a fantastic job with it, cutting the grass regularly so it doesn't become overgrown, clearing out the strip of land beside the football court, trimming the hedges into an orderly fashion, and now, the opening up of the circle of hedges that had become an issue with local residents because of all the sleepers leaving all kinds stuff laying around. The central rose features are beautiful especially when they're in bloom, and I love the new plants which they placed into the gazebo at the end of the park.

Your 3rd member of the team is the whistling litter guy (I say this as he's either whistling or singing) has done an excellent job too. I've seen him meticulously picking up cigarette ends that littered the floor (a job which I don't have the patience for) whistling along cheerfully, clearing out the now opened up hedges and bringing out all sort of items (cardboard boxes, sleeping bags etc).

I had a problem with a dog bin which wouldn't open, within moments of asking him to report it he went over and managed to open it for me without huffing or puffing about it.

I would like to also say thank you and congratulate your same 3 guys for the work on Guy Street Park.

This is park is truly turning into a little treasure

Again I have used this park for many years and it really is becoming the park it should be, one for all the family to come sit and enjoy. I know they have their work cut out with the endless supply of falling leaves but they just get down to it and clear it the best they can. But when they cut the grass to get that striped look (which is fantastic) it give the park a whole new look.

Your whistling litter guy has been doing his best to keep up with the constant rubbish that's being left behind by the rough sleepers, either in the bushes or behind the children's play area.

Thank you for taking the time in reading this letter and could you please pass on my many thanks and let them know the work that they do is outstanding and thoroughly appreciated by all that use these parks.

[The three Quadron staff noted above are Paul (Team Leader), Kasper (Assistant Gardener) and Danny (Litter Operative)]
Mr. Williams, Local resident (letter to Quadron's Contract Manager) - November 2011
    • Just wanted to say how nice the park was looking and what a great job I think your team at Tanner Street are doing.  I walk in the park every day at least twice and its good to see it looking so well cared for.
Local Park User - October 2011
    • We had our annual tournament for kids around Southwark this weekend, as organised jointly by United AllStars and Southwark Caribb football clubs.  Athenlay, Tulse Hill, Southwark & Lambeth Youth and other local teams took part alongside our boys in a friendly competition.
Despite the rain on Sunday, it went really well and we had a great turnout... the pitches played really well.
Thanks to Joe O. and all who have worked hard to get the pitches ready for the new season.  Also thanks to Prairie at Quadron for already being the most responsive bookings person Southwark has ever had.
Thanks to Chris Cook and Rosie for working with us to sort out our plan for this year - we will be meeting shortly to ensure we have a sustainable way forwards for football and changing rooms at the Park.
We had over 200 children from around Southwark take part this weekend and this would not have been possible without your collective support and hard work.
Fixtures Secretary, United AllStars Youth FC - September 2011
    • Just a quick e-mail to say how brilliant I think the park [Peckham Rye] is.  I live very nearby and use it several times a week.  It's always very well maintained and the planting is great.  Also the bowling green, lake and picnic area are excellent.

      Thanks to everyone involved!
Local Park User - September 2011
    • I am writing to say how pleased I am with the arrangements at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park.  Graham [Quadron Head Gardener] and his team have been so thorough and efficient.  I believe it is obvious to everyone that Graham and his team are completely dedicated.  Everyone I have spoken to has noticed the difference in the park.  The trees have been lopped; the rubbish is picked up far more frequently and the grass and plants have come on a treat!  Graham' s interaction with park users is, in particular, excellent.
      Local Resident - August 2011
    • Please pass on my comments for the excellent work by the Council Gardeners for producing the stunning flower displays all over the Borough.  The main bed at the entrance to Peckham Rye is superb and so are those at Southwark and Dulwich Parks.

Many thanks to all concerned and keep up the good work.
Local Parks User - August 2011
    • I would like to thank the Burgess Park grounds team, particularly Graham, for their hard work and help with our wildlife garden.

Graham in particular has been kind enough to donate his time and expertise, not to mention plants, to Christine and Angie who are coordinating the children and time to organise this. Together they have got the children weeding, planting and caring for the garden.

As I understand it, all children who are interested put their name into a hat to be drawn to on a certain day and help out in the garden. The children really enjoy this and the hat is continually being replenished with new names.

The school are really grateful for this and the opportunity to expand our links with the community and surrounding area. The school's location is an amazing resource in itself. I know the staff and children enjoy using the facilities and space. We hope this will continue during and after the developments being made in the park.

      Thank you again.
Vice Chair of Governors, Cobourg Primary School - June 2011
    • I would be most grateful if you could pass on my thanks to all concerned for their hard work in preparing the site [Brimmington Park] for Green Flag judging over the past few days.

The park looked well maintained, clean and tidy.
Southwark Park Standards Officer - June 2011
    • Please pass on my thanks, I would agree the site was the best it has looked for some time.

Dulwich Area Park Manager, regarding Green Flag Award Judging at Brunswick Park - June 2011
    • I would be most grateful if you could pass on my sincere thanks to all concerned for their extremely hard work, not just for the preparations undertaken over the last few days, but for over the whole year.

The park looked fantastic this morning and the judges were very impressed. We had a good representation from all parties and it gave a true feeling about the place.

Park Standards Officer, regarding Green Flag Award Judging at Brunswick Park - June 2011
    • The roses in the square garden look fantastic. Very many thanks to all concerned. Opening my curtains each morning is a joy as I look onto a bed of lovely pink roses and beyond a circle of yellow roses.

      One is indeed blessed.
      A West Square Resident - June 2011
    • A short note to say what a fantastic job you and your team of 10 have done in our Square over the last few days.
It looks brilliant and the rain today will ensure all the new flowers and plants get off to a really good start.
      Well done.
An Addington Square Resident - May 2011
    • Another note from Addington Square to say how much our gardens are appreciated.
An Addington Square Resident - May 2011
    • Just a note from Addington Square about our gardens. Well done to you all, the Square looks lovely and many thanks for the effort.

An Addington Square Resident - May 2011
    • I would like to thank the parks team in Burgess Park who have been doing amazing work both in the park and on the canal path. Both look fantastic. The canal path feels so light and spacious since all their work has taken place.

Chumleigh Gardens is also is looking beautiful and well maintained. The staff are always kind and helpful, ready to offer a wave and smile, especially to the children. My 2 year old son is absolutely fascinated by the buggies they drive, they always flash their lights and wave when we pass them on the way to school and in the park.

Please pass on my thanks to the team. Im sure people are often too keen to complain, myself included, but forget to say thank you. So thank you.
Southwark Park User - May 2011
    • Just a few lines to show our appreciation for all the continued hard work put in by your employees based in Russia Dock Woodland (Rotherhithe).
As I explained to you verbally when we met yesterday, I, as chairman of the Friends of Russia Dock Woodland, am constantly reminded by park/woodlands users and local residents of the excellent work, commitment, and decency, displayed by Simon and Carlton on an everyday basis. They were commended last year for getting in early to work during the coldest winter on record just to make sure that the slippery woodlands bridges were salted, knowing that the local schoolchildren and their parents have to use them on their way to school. This was at a time when most people decided not to bother getting in.
I have been approached by a few woodlands users in the last few weeks also making compliments regarding Simon and Carlton.
Chairman of The Friends of Russia Dock Woodland - May 2011
    • I attended a Brunswick Park T and RA meeting last night. They wanted me to pass on that their thanks as they feel the park is looking the best it ever has.

They said the investment into the park over the past year has greatly improved the park and positive comments have been made to them from other community groups in the area when they held their event in the park over Easter.

Christopher Cook, Principal Service Devlopment Officer, Southwark Council - May 2011
    • Please can you pass on my sincere thanks to the weekend staff at Dulwich. We had well in the excess of 8 thousand people attending the May Fair event.

The staff kept on top of the litter so efficiently, this was reflected in the positive feedback from the public and the Friends. They were also extremely helpful and quick to respond when asked. Job well done.
Paul Higham, Dulwich Area Park Manager - May 2011
    • I'm not a resident of Southwark, but I do travel through it quite frequently.

I would like to thank and congratulate you and your maintenance team for the beauty of Paragon Gardens in the New Kent Road.  Every time I go past them, they make me feel happy, so thank you very much for all the hard work that gives such pleasure.
Mrs. Lindsay, Visitor to Southwark - April 2011
    • I have been meaning to say for ages how amazing Peckham Rye park is looking. It has been transformed into one of the nicest parks in London, and is such a pleasure to spend time in. I've noticed that over the last couple of years more and more people are using it, rather than going to Dulwich Park, which many used to do. It's just so beautiful, and such an important community place, and I wanted to thank both the parks team but also the Council for choosing to use our money so constructively and to such good ends.

      Keep up the good work!
Madeleine Worrall, Local Resident - April 2011
    • Thank you for all of your help to ensure the park looked its best on the day.
Rosie Thornton, Principal Park Manager, referring to The Nature Day at King's Stairs Gardens (see downloads, right) - April 2011
    • I got your details from Southwark Council and just thought I should mention how impressed I was when I recently visited Burgess Park.  I live in East Dulwich and mainly use Dulwich Park and occasionally Peckham Park, but I started work nearby and was invited to lunch at the cafe in Burgess Park, which I wasn't much looking forward to doing.  I was extremely surprised with how much Burgess has changed and couldn't believe that I was in the same park that I seldom frequented as a child.  You have done an amazing job and I hear that there are much more works that will take place in Burgess Park. Please pass on my praise to the grounds people, who I am told are extremely hard working and pleasant.  Well done once again, I  never thought I would see Burgess Park looking the way it does.
Local resident to Burgess Park Project Support Officer - April 2011
    • I have been meaning to write for a long time to thank you for the
wonderful sunflowers last year. They seem to have brought together
people from all backgrounds and of all ages.  Every time I went past on
foot or in the bus I heard favourable comments.  I hope we may see them
again next year.  They really added to my enjoyment of life.

      The sunflowers in full bloom
Dame Sonia Proudman, DBE, regarding Peckham Rye Park - March 2011
    • A very big thank you to you and the team for keeping the Peckham area parks open and gritted over the last week. Much appreciated by me and various members of the public who have come to thank me.
From Peckham Rye Park Manager (London Borough of Southwark) to Simon Cummins, Contract Manager: - November 2010
    • Nursery row is much improved, particularly with regard to dog fouling. Gary who drives the pooper scooper machine and cleans up the dog mess in Nursery Row on Wednesdays, has been more than helpful and has been going out of his way to ensure the park and particularly the areas where we set up play equipment are free from dog mess when we come.
From Senior Play Ranger, Southwark: - August 2010
    • A big thank you also to Quadron staff across the borough who worked so hard in the run up to the [In Bloom] judging days
From Rebecca Towers, Parks & Open Spaces Manager, Southwark Council: - August 2010
    • Would you please pass on my thanks and congratulations to those people in Southwark who look after the flower beds in the parks. Over the past couple of years I have noticed how excellent the standards have become, particularly in Peckham Rye and Southwark Park. I am also very impressed with the displays and 'dogs' on Dog Kennel Hill. Ever the beds in front of the two Keeper's Houses in Dulwich Park are planted to a superb standard. As a child I remember the great floral clocks and bright coloured beds of the 1950s, but today in this borough we seem to have work of that same high standard of civic pride as I enjoyed then.
From Customer in Southwark: - July 2010
    • I would like to commend the garden team in Southwark Park the Rose garden choice of plants is exceptional and the beds entering the park are both colourful and perfumed. Well done to all those hard working gardeners.
From Customer in Southwark: - June 2010
    • I jog through Burgess Park 3 times a week, all seasons and all weather. I would like to comment on the park as I feel the work that is being done on a daily basis, eg  picking up the rubbish, cutting the grass, the facilities it offers, should all be applauded. Therefore I would like to say thank you for all the hard work to all concerned. I regularly compliment the people clearing the rubbish, and ask them to pass on my compliments but feel I have to put it in writing.
From Customer in Southwark: - June 2010
    • [we] came away most impressed by its flourishing plants and trees, the clean pond, which could be used for boating or observing wild life and the immaculate grass area and in fact, the whole park. I only saw one piece of litter and all the seats were clean and well preserved. Therefore, I just had to write to thank you and all your staff for the hard work and organisation that goes into looking after such a well used and greatly appreciated park in London.
Letter from Customer re Dulwich Park: - May 2010
    • I am a regular visitor to Peckham Rye Park and walk my dog there most days, and I just wanted to extend my thanks to those at the Council responsible for the upkeep of the Park. It is magnificent! Beautifully kept, inspired planting, immaculately cared for and generally a really lovely place to visit. With its heavy usage and not-always-tidy visitors, it must be quite a job to keep the Park looking so good, so very many thanks to all the team of park keepers and those who plan and manage. It is very much appreciated.
From Customer in Southwark: - May 2010
    • Just wanted to pass on my thanks to the Parks Team who are looking after St Johns Churchyard on Tower Bridge Road. During the last few weeks the park with its trees and flower beds has been really fantastic. There are not too many green spaces around so please pass on my thanks as an appreciative local resident.
From Resident in Southwark: - April 2010
    • Just to say a big thank-you to all the staff that helped with the [green flag] judging today, and for all the hard work that is put in to make the sites look their best, this was really appreciated by the judges.
From client in Southwark: - April 2010
    • Could you record a big thank you to Quadron for doing so well re litter this w/end and this morning. Peckham Rye was the busiest I have ever seen it and I'm really grateful for the effort that was put in.
From Client in Southwark: - March 2010
    • I feel I must comment on all your hard work again for keeping our park so lovely. The entrance of Gomm road is absolutely beautiful, the rose garden with its wild flowers is wonderful, what can I say the spray of daffs on the oval breath taking. I never thought this park could get any better but this year it has. The workers greet me with a smile a wave and a nod, who could ask for anything more from your local park paradise. Thank you so so much. A park walker.
From customer, Southwark Park: - March 2010
    • I would like to let you know what a great asset Mr Denis Tulley (from Quadron) is. He looks after the paths and gardens around where I live and always makes a concerted effort to keep them healthy and tidy. He is also very courteous to local residents. Rebecca Towers, Parks & Open Spaces Manager for LBS added: Well done Denis and please thank him for his efforts at Chumleigh on Saturday too.
From customer in Southwark: - February 2010
    • A colleague of mine remarked that Little Dorrit Park is looking good in terms of the grass cutting and shrub maintenance. Also opening up and emptying the bins for us at Red Cross Garden is going well. We just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work.
Community Parks Facilitator - Red Cross, Bankside Open Spaces Trust (London Borough of Southwark): - November 2009
    • "Thank you for keeping our park so lovely and for all your hard work all year round, it shows in every nook and crannie. It's a pleasure to walk through any time of the year. I met a stranger walking through one day and he commented to me how well and clean it looked and said it was one of the best parks he's seen. So I feel I must tell you all how much you are appreciated and your hard work is recognised. Thanks."
Christmas Card received from customers in Southwark Park: - November 2009
    • I have received some positive feedback from the Brunswick Park Tenants Residents Association regarding the current condition of Brunswick Park. They have also been pleased with a recent planting day and more plants being installed in previously neglected areas. They really appreciate the attention to the park. [Mobile Head Gardener] Ed has spent a lot of time...responding to H & S issues and has made various improvements. Ed has a good relation with the local residents and they have welcomed the introduction of the Mobile Head Gardener and Apprentice posts.
Parks Standards Officer in Southwark: - September 2009
    • "I just wanted to write to congratulate you on both the recent improvements and general condition of Peckham Rye's got better and better over the last 3 years."
Southwark resident to Southwark Council: - August 2009
    • I want to congratulate and thank the Parks & Gardens dept and its chief gardener/designer for the beautiful state of Peckham Rye Park this summer. The planting in the main entrance formal gardens is imaginative and lovely, and I have never seen the Rose Garden looking finer with its huge swathe planting. I also think the wildflower areas have been a great success and add a wonderful new dimension. I know the park has been much appreciated this year by many of my neighbours.
Resident in Southwark: - July 2009
    • We are often quick to complain when something does not please us so I wanted to take the time to pass on my thanks and compliments to the whole team responsible for making Peckham Rye Park one of the most beautiful parks that I know (and I include the central London parks). I recall that a significant amount of lottery cash was invested in the park and it is now clear to see that this was an excellent use of lottery funds, delivering something fantastic that everyone can enjoy. I visit the park as often as I can and have never been disappointed. On a visit today I found the areas of grassland which had been planted as meadow with wildflowers absolutely buzzing with insect life. Congratulations to you all for delivering Peckham residents and visitors such a special space, a space of which the whole community should feel proud.
Customer in Southwark: - June 2009
    • [Quadron were asked] to go into the Youth Allotment area in Southwark Park on a Saturday and clear the paths of weeds and remove the old fencing planks that had been piled up and replace with a temporary Harris fence. They did an excellent job and the site looks clear and tidy and they also removed lots of the weeds and debris from the back of the site. The groups using the site are mighty pleased with this work.
Young Friends of Parks Officer, Southwark Council: - May 2009
    • I visited my daughter in West Dulwich last weekend for the first time and spent a lot of time walking around the area including the parks and gardens. I was extremely impressed with the general cleanliness of the area, the parks were beautifully maintained and clearly enjoyed and appreciated by local people. As manager of a large estate and parkland in the north of England I appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining such high standards and your staff should be deservedly proud of their achievements.
Customer in Dulwich: - April 2009
    • "I was in the park [Lucas Gardens] last night and noticed that there have been some really incredible improvements there. It looks as if someone has spent a lot of time there and really put in some effort. A number of other residents have also said the same and we do appreciate it....pass my thanks to any of the maintenance team who have been involved there - they've done a splendid job."
Customer in Southwark: - April 2009
    • "Please pass on thanks to all Quadron staff involved in preparing both Russia Dock Woodland and Paterson Park for this year's Green Flag Judging. It was extremely pleasing to hear the positive and complimentary comments from both LBS staff / Managers and Friends groups in regards to Quadron's high standard of maintenance at both sites. Keep up the good work."

  • Tandridge District Council

    • I live opposite Dormansland Primary School and just wanted to say what a great job your guys did this morning of cutting and shaping the hedge and clearing up afterwards.  They obviously take pride in their work and they should be congratulated.  A big pat on the back is definitely deserved.
      A Local Resident - September 2014
    • We are all very pleased with the extra effort which you and your team have made on Westmore Green.  The whole place is looking first class.
Cllr. Bob David, Tandridge District Council - September 2013
    • Please would you be kind enough to pass on my gratitude and support to the South Round Team for completing all the sites and working hard in the recent difficult circumstances.

Please ensure that Brian, Mark and John all receive my sincere thanks and gratitude.
      S. Hyder, Tandridge District Council - June 2013
    • In 20 years of working in the grounds maintenance business, its always a refreshing feeling when you are genuinely surprised.  When you start a contract you always have a feeling of apprehension; every contract can be like a relationship and meeting and working with new people can sometimes be awkward.

On this occasion I have been genuinely surprised and pleased with the start of the contract.  Damon has integrated extremely well into his new role and has been able to do this with the help of his TUPE staff Brett and Chris training the new starters and getting everyone familiar with the sites.

Seeing my staff getting on so well with everyone also fills me with a great deal of pride.  Sharing a facility can sometimes grate a little, but knowing that everyone has a sense of humour and gets on well makes me confident that everything will run smoothly at Queens Park.

Lastly, I want to say how proud I am of you all.  I can see you all in your new uniforms and using brand new equipment.  It gives me a sense of huge satisfaction knowing that you have the tools and the gear to do a great job while promoting the brand and level of service that Quadron promises for the future!

Keep up the good work and good luck!
Steve Hyder, Parks and Open Spaces Manager, Tandridge District Council - March 2013
  • Teignbridge District Council

    • I can't believe that I haven't been in touch earlier to say that I have been so impressed with the way all the local parks and open spaces have looked over the late spring and summer. The displays have been stunning and the parks have been tidy and welcoming all summer. We are lucky to have them.
Please thank all involved. I know it doesn't just happen, there's a lot of hard work involved which is really appreciated.
      J. Robinson - September 2016
    • I just wanted to say a huge thank you, especially to Alan and Peter for their help. Very knowledgeable and good company.

      C. Drew, Green Spaces Projects Officer, referring to school activity day in Courtenay Park - July 2016
    • The Quadron team arrived to cut the grass on Tuesday. It is such a relief to those of us who have struggled to keep the churchyard tidy in recent years to see such a fast and efficient team, with the right equipment, make such a transformation of the churchyard.
Mrs L. Martin, for Ideford PCC, referring to Ideford Churchyard - April 2016
    • Thought you might like to know that over the weekend I received numerous compliments about the condition of [Shaldon Golf] course and in particular the greens. Customers stated that it is the best they have known in the last four years.

We always get feedback about the course, but in the three years I have been working here I have never known so many people go out of their way to say how good the course is.
      B. Golpin - March 2016
    • Well done for the great work you do on the Den and promenade. The flowerbeds look very attractive and the wonderful sculptures are a credit to all the organisations who supply them. The grass is always kept short and neat, and of course the children's play park is such an asset.

      Thank you very much.
      D. Southall - August 2015
    • Just returned from Courtenay Park and would like to pass on how lovely it is looking at the moment, grass all nicely cut, shrub and flower beds looking tidy, the site just looks in excellent order. Please pass on my thanks to all the teams who contribute to the upkeep of this park.
Mark Payne, Grounds Maintenance Officer, Environment & Leisure, Teignbridge District Council - August 2015
    • I just wanted to say that the baskets and tubs certainly look lovely around the town - please pass on thanks to all involved.

Could you advise what the lovely orange/butterscotch coloured plants are please?  They are everywhere, especially by the War Memorial and indeed look a picture.
Mr. M. Rowe. The orange flowers referred to are minion bells - August 2013
    • I just wanted to comment on the outstanding display of tulips and other spring flowers around the station and park area in Newton Abbot.  I visit Newton Abbot several times a week and over the last couple of months this display has been delightful and a joy to behold.  Please offer my congratulations to the staff who plant and maintain it.

      E. Heatley - May 2013
    • I write on behalf of regular users of Courtney Park to ask if you would kindly publish a big thank you to Alan.

Alan is the gentleman who maintains the park in pristine condition.  He also cares for the raised flowerbeds outside the railway station and can be seen working in dreadfully cold and wet weather scrubbing the tiled areas and clearing the damage caused by vandalism.

Just now the park looks lovely, with flowerbeds planted, daffodils and crocus in bloom and hedges and shrubs pruned ready for the seasons ahead.

Well done Alan.  We really appreciate your hard work.

      E. Silverthorne, via local newspaper - April 2013
    • Please pass on a huge thank you to the guys, James and John for their help [with the bulb planting] with the two primary schools yesterday.  Both of them worked really well with the children and the event couldn't have happened without their support. Although the weather was awful everything carried on famously! Weve had some nice feedback from the schools as well.

      Many thanks.

The children with their two Quadron helpers
J Sharp, Projects Officer, Green Spaces & Active Leisure, Teignbridge District Council - November 2012
    • I just wanted to say how nice all the gardens within Newton Abbot are, particularly opposite the railway station.  The red begonias are the best I have seen and your staff are to be commended for the fine job.
      E. Edwards - August 2012
    • I am writing on behalf of the Mayor and the Town Council to say thank you for the fantastic work carried out in providing the Jubilee Floral Roundel.

As you are aware, the unveiling of the roundel was on the 2nd June, the event was well attended and luckily the weather stayed dry throughout the unveiling.  Since then, the roundel has been well received by the public and we have had a lot of positive feedback.

      Thank you once again.
      K. Burridge, Events Co-ordinator, Newton Abbot Town Council - June 2012
    • I just wanted to say how lovely the flower beds look at present around the town, especially near the railway station.
Needless to say, the fine weather has helped, but please pass this note on to all those concerned who have made these displays look such a picture.
      M. Rowe - April 2012
    • My father came to stay on the week beginning 20th March. Both he and his partner said how nice the sea front was looking, how clean and how nice it was to see people working on the flowerbeds. Congratulations! It has to be good if my father compliments it!
      J. Finnemore - April 2012
    • My wife and I wish to congratulate the Council on the work they do for
the town. In particular we are very impressed by the floral displays
throughout Newton Abbot, always a pleasure to see.  Your gardeners do so
well.  Public toilets are well looked after and your efforts to keep the
Penn underpass well painted are good.

      Thanks for what you do.
      Local Resident - October 2011
    • Im writing to congratulate the Green Spaces team for the wonderful display apparent all over Newton Abbot.  The flowers brighten my day and Im sure that of hundreds of others. Well done.  The parks are all kept beautifully too.

      Well done!

    • Having just returned from the Green Flag Judging of Courtenay Park, as a friend of Courtenay Park and as the local Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator, I wish to record my appreciation for all the work and effort that has gone into this.

To Jane Sharp and the Green Spaces Team for not only the extra work that this judging causes, but also for the assistance they give to me when I report matters to them that I feel need attention, not only for Courtenay Park but Forde Park as well.

To the contractors who have worked so well in the last few days leading up to the judging, especially Alan who spends most of his time in Courtenay Park.  I have got to know several of the staff there now and have a good relationship with them, it all helps.

Too often I believe that not enough praise is given, I am convinced that we sometimes do not appreciate what is done by your staff and contractors to provide Teignbridge with the service and environment we have and enjoy.

So I will say Thank You.
Lead Co-ordinator, Newton Abbot Area Neighbourhood Watch in letter to the Chief Executive, Teignbridge District Council - June 2011
    • I would like to pass on my thanks to yourself and all of the staff who have not only kept these sites in very good order leading up to Green flag judging, but also all of the extra works that have been completed in the last week to both Courtenay and The Den.

Thanks again to you and the staff of Quadron for all of their hard work.
Mark Payne, Grounds Maintenance Officer, Teignbridge District Council - May 2011
    • I have received a call from a member of the public who lives at Old Manor Close in Ashburton regarding the adjacent grassed area that is near to Amberley Close.  This gentleman wanted to compliment the workers who did the grass cut there as it was a real professional job and the best he has seen in 30 years.

    • Just a quick note to express my thanks for the fantastic work and really positive approach you gave to the Formula E event at Battersea Park.

It has been a real pleasure working with you guys and the job you all did was superb.

    • A week and a half ago, we paraded 350 people and their wheels through Tooting Town. From Franciscan Primary School to a magical re-opening of the bus turning circle to collecting clicks, whistles, thumbs up and high fives all the way to Fishponds Playing Fields, we couldn't have done it if it wasn't for contributions of time and energy from people like you!

The sharing picnic and Fishponds was just brilliant! George hosted us fantastically, helping out with advice, guidance and the odd tool here and there!
Lucy, Richard and Transition Town Tooting, referring to 'Tour de Tooting' - July 2016
    • I would like to thank Mandy at Quadron Wandsworth for her excellent support throughout this and the previous seasons. Mandy has also provided me with timely and helpful responses when dealing with my queries and bookings. As we are a Sunday League football team we often have our fixtures moved around depending on our allocation by the league, but I can always rely on her to be flexible, understanding and to efficiently manage our bookings.

I would love to recommend Mandy for your employee of the month award.

Well done, please keep up the good work.
Gregory, Kudos Athletic - April 2016
    • I just wanted to drop a quick line to you to express my sincere thanks to you and ALL your team for the fantastic job done at the Formula E event in Battersea Park.

The inaugural event in Battersea Park was a steep learning curve for all of us and your teams' ability and willingness to adapt to our requirements as the event progressed was notable and appreciated by all.

The event area itself looked superb during the two public days. Litter picking across the site was exemplary and the servicing of the paddock area and operations venues ensured a very professionally turned-out facility.

I have received several notes of appreciation from my colleagues in praise of the Quadron team and felt obliged to add my own.

My thanks again to all involved.
Oliver McCrudden, Event Manager: 2015 London ePrix - July 2015
    • This [Formula E Grand Prix at Battersea Park] was a great event and as you know Quadron Services provided numerous services which helped make the event a great success. I have been on site most days on the build and dismantling of the site and have noted how difficult maintenance of the park has been at times.

Yesterday I met with Oliver McCrudden who was kind enough to tell me how impressed he was with Simon Jones, Phil Quirke and their team. He went on to say how helpful they had been throughout and he will be writing to Simon in due course.

I was not present during the event but would like you to know how pleased I was with the Quadron's service and continued maintenance of the park under difficult circumstances.

Steven Green, Principal Parks Officer, Wandsworth Borough Council - July 2015
    • Thank you to you and your team for the efforts put into the event the last few days, all of which has been carried out to a high standard.
Andrew Green, Wandsworth Council, refers to Formula E at Battersea Park - July 2015
    • Just a quick email to say thank you so much for all your hard work and involvement in this years Annual Act of Remembrance in Battersea Park.  Despite a wet and soggy weekend, the weather stayed fine for the first service and the turnout was great.

Thank you to Phil and the Quadron team for making the park tidy and beautiful for an appearance on TV [Channel 4 news 11-11-14].
Sian Hamer, Events Development Officer, Wandsworth Council - November 2014
    • I write to thank all the QSL team for their efforts put into this event [Battersea Park fireworks display].  We are all very aware that without their input the event would not take place.

      My special thanks go to:

      a)    Phil Quirke his organisation of the team and his hands on approach to getting the event ready on time
      b)    Paul Bedford who always commits himself to any challenge that comes up
      c)    Gulley Wilkie who always deals with the unexpected, such as broken down tractor blocking a main carriageway and obtaining access to a firework company vehicle on their behalf.

We all experienced challenging weather conditions to say the least and all kept to their post during the vent without complaint, even though many were wet through to the skin.

The clear up task is going well and, weather permitting, is expected to be completed today.
Steven Green, Principal Parks Officer, Wandsworth Borough Council - November 2014
    • We were very pleased with all the hard work the contractor did in helping prepare for our civic event on 21st October fitting benches into place, planting new flowers and tidying the garden they really went the extra mile to make the Town Hall front gardens look great for our VIP event much appreciated.
Jo Bewley, Housing and Community Services, Wandsworth Council - November 2014
    • Today I just want to let you know what a great job the after team did on the area of the park that always gets missed.  They strimmed the edges at the railing, cut under the trees, cut back overgrown stuff and tidied up after them.  Its a job very well done and looks like they have taken a bit of care, time and effort.  The maintenance is of a very high standard.  My sincere thanks to the team.
      S. MacDowell - August 2014
    • I just wanted to say a thank you to Quadron so far this summer.  Phil has really done a great job and we have noticed a huge difference since he has been working in Battersea Park.

As you know, us in Events like to challenge and often pile on requests at what is already for you guys a busy time of year.  Phil has never said that he could not do something requested of him.  We have found him helpful and also cheerful.

The Park as a whole seems to be looking very smart and tidy.
      S. Bell, Events Operations Manager, Battersea Park - July 2014
    • In an era of continued economic squeeze and especially in the public sector, may I, on behalf of Wandsworth Blind Bowling Club, thank Wandsworth Borough Council Parks Department for their huge commitment and continued support towards the tournament.

Thanks must also go to Quadron Services Limited for continuing to sponsor the Presentation Tea and to the Green family for their continued contribution towards the tournament raffle.
      R. Stancombe, Chairman, Wandsworth Blind Bowling Club - July 2014
    • I write to thank you for sponsoring the high tea at this event [2014 Blind Bowlers Tournament] which was enjoyed by all 60 participants ... Your staff on the day were exceptional and all was constructed and prepared well before the tournament started and the clearance of the event at the end of the day was just as efficient.

      Once again many thanks.
Steven Green, Principal Parks Officer, Wandsworth Borough Council - July 2014
    • Thank you for letting us experience the true power of gardening.  We really enjoyed helping you plant marigolds and geraniums next to the bowling green.  We look forward to coming back later in the summer to see how the plants are doing.

We hope it really made a difference with us being there to help.  We hope people will gaze at our plants for the rest of the summer.
Aaron, Atto, Andrea and pupils of Thomas School, Battersea - July 2014
    • To everyone who makes Battersea Park so beautiful, a very big thank you!  I cycle through the park every morning and it's just looking in very fine condition right now.  I can see how many people appreciate all you do, including the dogs running around happily.  Last night I sat on the mound next to the Pagoda enjoying the sunset, and there were lots in an equally happy mood, thanks to the teams care of the park.

Also, whats particularly gorgeous at the moment is the garden of the gate house at Albert Bridge entrance.

Again, all my thanks and Happy Easter!
      M. Korsmeir - April 2014
    • Following the recent ecological winter works completed by Quadron, I would like to thank the eco team: Jarek and Basil (and Mick during his brief spell on the team), as well as Lenny for his supervision.

The works were conducted in an efficient and timely way and highlighted the knowledge gained in this field by the team.  I was also impressed with the way the team worked together and their ability in using their initiative whilst undertaking certain tasks.

I look forward to working with the same team in the coming year.
Kevin Freed, Parks Officer, Biodiversity, Wandsworth Council - March 2014
    • Each spring Im impressed by the fantastic display of flowers as our
parks come into bloom, and this year is no exception. The parks service
team and Quadron have excelled themselves and I hope our residents enjoy
the results of their hard work.
Cllr Jonathan Cook - March 2014
    • I walked through Coronation Gardens a few days ago and it was litter free.  The new roses planted are looking good and we very much appreciate these.  Many thanks to everyone involved.
      H. Price - December 2013
    • As site manager and the Allotment Committee Chairman I would like to record our thanks to the operative (Joe) who removed the very large piles of rubbish that had been deposited for collection at both the Garratt Park and Steerforth Street entrances to the site.  It was a huge and unpleasant job and it was done efficiently over several days and with tolerant good humour.  He is a credit to the contractors organisation.

John Hooper, Site Manager - December 2013
    • I know we are still clearing up after this event [fireworks] but I would like to thank all those QSL staff involved, many of whom worked a sixteen hour day with only minimal breaks and then returned on Sunday morning to work all day.  All went very well but without the QSL staff input this event would not have happened. Please pass on my many thanks to all those involved.

Special thanks to the QSL cleansing staff who cleared all rubbish from site left by the 40k + people who attended.
Steven Green, Principal Parks Officer, Wandsworth Borough Council - November 2013
    • To You All,

As I walked around the [Wandsworth] Common for an hour and a half on Sunday I thought how well it was maintained, the long grass now cut and lying in neat rows.  Ive never seen it look so beautiful under the sun but knowing it was the lull before the [St Judes Day] storm!

I thought it deserved a card to congratulate your whole team, so here it comes with my thanks and appreciation of many other residents and neighbours as well!

      With all good wishes.

      J. Gregory - November 2013
    • I have to say many thanks to everyone at Wandsworth Council for a superb job in clearing up the fly tipping on Tooting Common so quickly and so thoroughly.  There is barely a trace of it left, which is remarkable given how much there was.

Full marks and well done to all.
      Mr A Sharp - October 2013
    • My girlfriend and I recently spent a week in a hotel by Chelsea Bridge and spent many hours in the park over the week, thankfully we had tremendous weather.  We were both mightily impressed with the park and the facilities, they are well maintained and the variety of activities is excellent!

      Keep up the excellent work.

      D. Wakefield - August 2013
    • A brief note to report that the majority of [Battersea] Park looked fairly clean and free of loose litter at 8/8.15 last evening after an extremely busy day.  Looked to me that the litter crew had again performed well.
Simon Cooper-Grundy, Wandsworth Borough Council - July 2013
    • Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you both so very much, leading up to and during the Sevens training week.

The players, management and liaison officers  have given me fantastic feedback on the venue and on Tiago and Ian.

Thank you all once again for all your hard work and professionalism

    • As a Marlow resident I'm writing to tell you how impressed I have been with your team in Marlow. I have spotted them several times over the last few days working so hard to ensure Marlow is looking beautiful. Today I passed them as they had stopped to help an elderly lady who had fallen over on Oak Road. Not only do they work exceptionally hard they care about the community. I wanted to praise their efforts and hard work. They are a credit to your company.

    • I write to thank you so much for Quadron's wonderful support of the recent RUNWXM event that we organised.

The day was a great success, with over 200 competitors.  They were all sustained by the gifts that you kindly supplied, with the remainder being enjoyed by volunteers, who worked so hard on the day.

Whilst writing, I must thank you so much for all the support that you have given to Heatherwood and Wexham Park NHS Foundation Trust over the last year or so.  Andrew Kauffman has been excellent in terms of keeping us 'in the loop' regarding volunteers and gardens here at Wexham.  Thanks must go to Andrew for all his hard work and excellent communication.

I look forward to continuing our work over the summer and also over coming years.

Mike Stone JP, Fundraising & Volunteers Manager, Heatherwood & Wexham Park Hospitals - July 2014
    • I wanted to record my thanks and appreciation for the beautiful poppy flower bed in the Old Library Gardens.  It really is quite magnificent and a fitting tribute to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War 1.

Please pass on my thanks to those involved in the conception and planting of the flower bed.

      The poppy flower bed.
All of the plants used in this display were
supplied in a peat-free growing medium.
Cllr Mrs Lesley Clarke OBE, Chairman of Wycombe District Council - July 2014
    • Quadron were certainly flexible in collecting the waste from yesterday's task.  A truck turned up mid-afternoon when the pile of green waste was growing fast.  The truck went off with a full load and returned twice more to take away the remainder.

I was very impressed by the service provided by Quadron and the willingness of their staff to collect the waste material from various locations near to the work areas, avoiding the need to move it all to one central location.

      R. Wilding, The Revive the Wye Group - June 2013
    • The grass was cut just a couple of days ago In all the time I have been at Green Hill I have not seen it cut so efficiently and thoroughly.  All paths both at right angles to the road and parallel to it have been cut and not just the centre of the path. It looks good. The work has been noticed and is appreciated. Please pass our thanks to those concerned.

      R. Bowden - June 2013
    • It was such a pleasure to see that all the verges have been cut, including the grass between allotments, that I felt I should express my thanks.

As I only have shears or grass hooks to keep the grass short this has always been a bit of a problem for me. I went down with my grass hook yesterday and found it had all been done the first time in four years I have had the allotment, so thank you very much to whoever organised that!
      Sally - June 2013
